You came into my disoriented desert of life like an innocent summer breeze,

soothing the blisters of reality on my brittle weathered skin,

longing for the cleansing rains,

to wash all my grime away,

instead I got you,

beneath the ephemeral sky of broken dreams,

full of stars still trying to breathe.

I met you as the light to my dark,

and am not ready to let go of you.

Say you won't let go too.

You took my bruised heart,

in your tender palms,

coaxed the trapped feelings out,

like water through stone,

from my frigid bones,

ones I never expected to let seep into my existence,

coloring my dreary shell in the hues of the infinite galaxies that flowed throw your veins.

Your sanative lips,

brushed over the wounds bleeding inside me,

as you painted my eyes,

with the restorative hues of addictive hope,

letting my tired soul rest in yours,

You got me drunk on your honey sweet promises of bliss,

You were like an adroit chef,

guilelessly throwing in the colours and textures,

into the melting pot of my sombre daydreams,

until I had my arms full,

of so many breathtaking delicacies of exhilaration,

I forget what it was like to live with the taste of disdain permanently lingering on my tongue.

You planted the pernicious flowers love and hope,

in the parched field of my scorching despair,

you taught me to spin threads of liquefied dusk,

and the placed the sun on my limp hair,

made me the empress,

of your ethereal universe full of shimmering dreams that come true,

at every turn,

filling your fists with incandescent stardust and moonlight blooms.

I am not ready to let go of you,

I doubt I'll ever be,

Please say you won't let go too,

and be mine for the eternity.
