Star-Crossed: Among Sith and Jedi

Greetings one and all! Welcome to my latest art blog! Today, I bring you a sad Ahbee.

I’ve been ittedly struggling with new poses lately- so I am still on a kick of redrawing my Unseen characters into my Star Wars AU. As per usual, the non-Star Wars part of the art is going to be from the 30 second version of the Timelapse, while the Star Wars half is from the full length version.

Side note- it is wild how days worth of work can be condensed down into minutes. Just wild.

Anyway, today I bring you a sad Ahbee. In the Unseen AU, Abigale is one of several characters in line to a throne, so I have a bunch of art of her in fancy dresses- and thought it’d be nice to give Ahbee something nice in my Star Wars AU too.

But having nice things alone does not make one happy. At this point, Ahbee is into her sith-hood. She’s not supposed to be very happy at this point in her life, as her darkside abilities feed off her more ionate but negative emotions.

However there times when one cannot be swept up in the heat off all that. The idea that when she’s alone, with nothing but her thoughts and that pull that calls her to someone she should not have- she can get quite melancholy and sad.

Often she’ll throw her herself into her training/her work to distract her from that. It might not be negative, but still being a ion it does empower her someone, and distracts her.

But there are moments where that isn’t an option. For example, when she’s invited to one of her uncle’s extravagant parties. As A Rha’Dura she is expected to attend- because her sith master thinks it is good for her to keep connections and ties with those in high places.

Ahbee has not really been a part of that world before though. For the sake of appearances (since she is a Rha’Dura after all)- her uncle is more than willing to provide proper attire for her. Unfortunately attire alone does not make one fit in- does not make connections, nor things to talk about.

What could she tell them? That her father tried to sell her off? That she grew up a criminal to survive outside of that home? That she murdered her first real boyfriend and all his cronies? She certainly couldn’t speak with them of any of the secret projects she and her sith group are up to… She’s just not of their world.

She still goes when invited though. It can serve as a break for her- and also allows her to learn a great many names and faces of the upper circles that her uncle is acquainted with. Sometimes it even allows her to gain good gossip, or intel on someone who could be a target, or just to have blackmail on someone. If nothing else, it gives her a chance to wear the fashions she never got to in her life before.

A shame that none of that can make her forget the pull, or how lonely she truly feels when distractions are not there for her.

I hope ya’ll like this piece. I super enjoyed working on it. I have a lot of fun when I get to make dresses out of the glitter brush. I’m probably going to find some excuses to make a few more- as I know Rev wants me to include some masquerade scenes eventually- and for reasons I haven’t shared yet, I’d want at least two for Ahbs to be in. All that being said… as always:
