Star-Crossed: Among Sith and Jedi

Dieu & Ahbee

Greetings one and all! Welcome to another art blog, where I take art I’ve done before, and remake it for my Star Wars AU.

As per usual with these, I’m using the 30second time-lapse for the not Star Wars part, and the full length one for the Star Wars part.

Which is good because the way I did hair back when I made the human versions of them took foreeeeever.

Aaaanyway, on to Dieu and Ahbee. Who I may at some-point accidentally call Theo and Abi, as those are their names in my other story. Forgive me if I do.. I had to do so much editing last time to not mess Dieu’donne’s name up last time… and I’m not sure I caught all of them.

Dieu and Ahbee are both sith twi’leks. While they do not work directly under the same people/masters, they are sometimes given tasks where they have the opportunity to work together, and are often working at similar locations.

Dieu loves this fact. As a fellow twi’lek, and a sith at that, and one that is skilled at the jobs she gets assigned to- Dieu has every intention of courting her. His family has been sith for generations, and he is very hopeful to not only continue this pattern, but perhaps even get that coveted red skin tone into the family.

Ahbee… does not feel the same. She generally isn’t opposed to working with Dieu- knowing his feelings, and his strengths, she’d far rather work with him than Betha… if only he would stop trying to woo her.

The dynamic between Dieu and Ahbee, or Theo and Abi, is always an interesting one in what ever world they are written in. Because they almost work. If I’m writing them right- you almost want to ship them… their strengths compliment each other, and they banter pretty well. But Dieu/Theo is never in it for the right reasons.

Is he genuinely attracted to her? Yes. Does she find him attractive? Physically- yes. But something in every universe never quite lands right. For one reason or another they never actually respect each other. Most often he views her as a prize or a goal to reach, and she deeply resents that, as she should.

Sometimes it’s just a matter of their goals not aligning. Or the reason behind their goals not aligning. She might want something for the effect it’ll have, while he’d want the same thing for the glory of it, for example. They just- never quite click.

Ahbee, in any universe, leans to needing to be attracted to someone’s mind or personality to fully be attracted to them. Which is why I specified that she physically finds him attractive, as most of the time he’ll say or do something that just irritates her too much to have any real interest in him.

That doesn’t stop her from considering what if sometimes though. He is strong, and he has proven on more than one occasion- that as long as there is even the smallest chance to their being children in their future: he will protector her. He’s more than capable of that, and being considered “the golden” standard right now, few really dare to be a threat to him.

There is something appealing in that kind of safety net. However, Ahbee is well aware that said safety net would only last as long as the promise of children did. If she proved unable to provide, if something happened- or perhaps even after children were born… she wouldn’t be so safe anymore. She reminds herself of that often, that every ounce of safety he could provide was also a danger to her should he decide he didn’t need her anymore.

Besides, her heart belongs to another, and she’s taking enough risks with that. Not to mention the risk of a sith paramore possibly finding out about her bond with a Jedi… no no- far, far too much was at risk for her to ever do more than consider the option.

Ahbee knows what she wants, and she knows it’s not Dieu. If only she could get him to stop flirting to obnoxious levels… without making an enemy of him…. She was lucky Dieu seemed to like her sass.
