Star-Crossed: Among Sith and Jedi

Greetings one and all! Today- I bring you a new nautolan! But much like my last twi’lek, some explanatory rambles first.

This is part of my humanless-au, and this character once again comes from my other project (Unseen). In Unseen, I have golden boy character named Theo Onze. I had two ideas for him- one was Dieu, the twi’lek/sith, and this is the other idea.

I could not decided one idea over the other… so poor Theo has been split into two characters. This Jedi is one of them.

The Timelapse is also running at two speeds as one is the version I was working on before changing him into a Star Wars character (I never finished that one), and the slower speed is the Star Wars side of the process.

Theo originally had a lot of traits that led well to both being a Jedi or a Sith, and I’m very excited for this version of him, giving the golden boy all his shining qualities- and perhaps letting him finally reach him himbo potential. Or at least the closest he’s ever gotten.

I might have to make him a bit broader next time to match that a bit better… it’s not a body type I have the most practice with, and getting it to look right in my style has been a bit of a challenge.

For his skintones, I decided to look up a bunch of sun fish for my golden boy, and found a beautiful example of one that I just directly color picked from. So I’ve been referring to Dieu as Sunny and Onze here as Sunfish XD.

On to Onze himself. Onze comes from a long line of Jedi. Because while Jedi are not supposed to form attachments, at the time and place of the story, Jedi are not exactly discouraged from having kids, just in becoming attached to them.

As such, Onze was born into Jedi life, but never knew his parents. The particular temple he was raised in was specifically for the raising of such younglings, keeping a village raising the children mentality to keep anyone from getting too attached.

As such Onze has never known anything but the Jedi way. He’s born into, and has grown to idolize it. He sees no flaws in the system, and while he will try to hold people to being the most ideal version of what the system expects them to be- he has a lot of trouble really seeing anyone among the Jedi as bad. The idea of someone among them being corrupt is completely beyond his understanding.

Onze is similar in age to Patches and on and off has been training at about the same stages as him. Many times this has inspired a bit of a rivalry between them. This has especially been inspired by a nautolan’s ablility to understand and speak in pheromones, and a zeltron’s ability to control and amplify them.

Making Patches a rare person who can lie to him. It’s… hard to tell if Onze is actually fooled by his lies every time, or is just fascinated by the phenomena…. Really depends on how much credit you give Onze in the intelligence département. (Don’t credit him too much.)

Onze also has… unique force visions. They are surprisingly common, and often spur him on to help as many people as he can when he can. However… they also tend to be very metaphorical, and fairly hazy, leaving a lot of room for interpretation… and Onze… is not very good at interpreting them.

This is most obvious when it comes to Ahbee. While he doesn’t often cross paths with her, it does happen on occasion. And Onze is certain, that she is the sith that his dreams tell him can be redeemed. Redeemed how you may ask? Onze has convinced himself that his dreams tell of a Jedi’s love redeeming her.

And as idealistic as Onze is- he believes it, and he believes attempting to do so is the only proper course for a Jedi to take in his set of circumstances. Therefore, he believes, it is his solemn duty- to make her fall in love with him. He knows Jedi shouldn’t have attachments- but he believes its is a sacrifice worth making to save a poor soul from the dark side.

Nobody else seems to like or agree with this plan, no matter how brilliant Onze thinks it is…. With his non-existant experience in romance… …. He means well.

And that’s all I’ve got and can share for Onze so far- I hope ya’ll like him! I certainly enjoyed making him, and look forward to making the crew that he and Dieu generally work with… as well as the dynamics the two Theo’s have with each other….
