Star-Crossed: Among Sith and Jedi

Greetings one and all! And welcome to my latest art blog! Today, I bring you a pair of Jedi who currently play a small but important role in Star-Crossed: Among Sith and Jedi.

For those who care, Star-Crossed is a humanless AU, and Among Sith and Jedi (I sometimes also call it ‘Of Jedi and Sith’ or flop the order of Jedi/Sith in either title version) is a sub story focusing on Ahbee, Patches, and Livia.

I still have to name this duo, but they serve two purposes in the story. A) To be the Jedi who find young Patches as a force Sensitive and take him into training. B) To be the first hints that no side is perfect, and corruption can be found anywhere.

My fiance and I have been jokingly calling the Mirialan ‘Green Santa’ or ‘Not Santa’. When determining his personality- or at least the one he presents to people, he was starting to sound a lot like Santa- so as a joke I designed him to kinda look the part.

Then we also have the Ithorian. Who’s quite a step outside of my normal comfort zone. Frustratingly they are a species that isn’t the most consistent in their details across references- so I decided to simplify a decent amount of details to kinda work with-in that, while also adjusting her to my style.

Obligatory note, that the censor bars aren’t covering anything graphic, it’s just a safety precaution, since I’m now very aware of the mod bots being active and not exactly accurate when it comes to things they deem a problem. -.- Better safe than sorry.

Anyway- among these two, one of them is corrupt. However they have done a very poor job at hiding it from the Jedi Order. They haven’t been quite problematic enough- or they don’t have enough evidence against them yet though- so they are currently still allowed to work.

But the Jedi also aren’t going to let them just work unchecked. So- the other has been assigned to work with and keep a careful eye on them. Make sure they don’t make choices the Order wouldn’t approve of, make sure there’s no bribes, and that everything is going the way it should be.

The combination of them working together is going to result in just Patches as being picked up as a force sensitive kid, while Ahbee is going to be left behind.

Patches comes from a situation that the Jedi are perfectly fine taking a kid from. With only one parent who is so often out of it on spices that they wouldn’t even miss him in his absence.

Where Ahbee, comes from a more well known family- and would have to be bought or fought for- which the Order did not authorize the pair to do. Ergo- Patches goes with them, while Ahbee does not.
