Ah, music and my life lol

When people ask me what type of music I like, I always tend to freeze up a little or become nervous. This is due to the fact that I like so many different types of music, and I’m not stuck to just one genre! If I hear something and it scratches my silly ahh brain just right, I’m adding it to my playlist! I don’t care if it’s country, rock, indie.. I’m open to any type of music really.

Music’s place in my life began from day one onward, driving in the car as mom cries out 90’s to 2000’s rock blasting through the radio. I don’t have many good times growing up with mom but singing together in the car to “old” rock is one of my most favorite memories. Naturally I was too young to grasp what the songs were even saying/what story they were saying but it didn’t matter, as the sounds were nice to hear and mom was okay when listening to music.

Growing up later, in elementary to the beginning of middle school, my taste in music changed. If I wasn’t listening to upbeat pop, I was listening to The Living Tombstone or other “alternative” musics at the time. Mid-middle school I began listening to more artists like My Chemical Romance, Twenty One Pilots, and any songs that gave off emo-ish vibes, along with experimenting with alternative musics!

High School was.. literally horrible. I can’t even it other than the awful times I’ve had there, otherwise I genuinely can’t anything. So I’m just going to skip it and talk about the now; in my adulthood. I like alternative songs, I like rock-esq songs. If one would take a look at my playlist, besides constant Lady Gaga (love her), there’s a bunch of mix matched songs. TikTok has also helped shape my music and I hate how people say “oh TikTok ruined this song/TikTok ppl aren’t true fans I was here before them” like bruh everyone is loving it and it’s getting the attention this song deserves please shut up lol.
