Hey guys it's me the brick boss here and today will be taking a look at the upscaled race car driver this set is the second in the line of upskilled Minifigures that they've been making that are exclusive to the Lego store excluding the pirate from Lego house. So I am looking forward to taking a look at this specific model honestly I didn't think they would be making another one of these so it is finally great to see that they're going to continue this hopefully once every few years. But without further ado let's take a look at the upscale race car driver
this set has no minifigures. The build for this is just the classic race car driver in the octane coloring which is quite nice which is nice he has his belt that says octan the race car jacket with the flags is nice as well. It has the same articulation as any normal minifigure does as well. This also does have the race car driver helmet. It is brick built and looks quite nice as well. The minifigure face is the same as the previous one we looked at a few months ago honestly I think they did an amazing job on this the detail on this is the same as a normal race car driver it's also quite nice that the color scheme for this is in the white the red the green and having dark gray hands which looks really nice as well. Again the this one is pretty much the same build as the original one there is no real differences other than the original one having a hat and this one having a helmet and the belt on this mini figure does come out a little bit from the torso which is never something we really see unless it's like a custom belt like from the Batman movie or the specific Minifigures that have the belts coming off their torso. But that's all I have for this set so let's move on to the price per piece. This has 694 pieces and retails for $69 Canadian. Now let's move on to my final thoughts.
This set is a really good set and I definitely looking forward to the next up skilled minifigure that's going to be coming out I hope it's not going to be once every few years will get a upscaled minifigure to add to the collection. Honestly I would definitely recommend this set to anyone who wants to get the upskilled minifigures they are great models and definitely something to add to your shelves or your desk if you're looking for something nice to display. One thing I wish they would have done is added the minifigure to go along with the upscale race car driver just like they did with the original upscale mini figure I feel like they kind of just go together and when you get one and not the other kind of feels a little bit cheap overall.
