Hey guys it's me the brick boss here and today we'll be taking a look at the January wave for DC this is the first time we've gotten one in quite a few years so I'm looking forward to taking a look at each individual set we have three in total and some first time minifigures that we haven't seen in these variations before so I am looking forward to taking a look at them and talking about the sets in detail so without further ado let's get started on our first set Superman mech versus Lex Luthor

this set comes with 2 Minifigures now this build is basically the same as any of the Marvel Mech we get every year the color of this is red and blue with the yellow belt and a printed Superman symbol what I don't get is in the back instead of like a cape build you get two boosters to propel Superman's Mech into the air usually there would be thrusters in the feet or something along those lines but not for this set. The finger pieces are silver for some reason which doesn't make sense to me I thought they would have been either blue or red but maybe they're playing off the man of steel name and giving him steel hands. I don't get it but it works for it overall. Honestly the sucky thing is they are really no posability for these Max so unfortunately they're pretty stiff when it comes down to it not much possibility to be hard. Another complaint that I have is why did Superman need this set Lex Luthor would have definitely been the person who would have actually needed this because he uses Mechs in comics and TV shows and such this is just dumb to me at least. But that's all I have for this set so let's move on to the price per piece. This set has 120 mini figures and retails for $17. Next set we're going to be taking a look at is Batman and batmobile versus Mr freeze

this set has two minifigures Batman and Mr freeze. The first build I want to talk about is Mr freeze's ice Cannon which is made up of about around 7:00 or 8 pieces and shoots out ice but originally I believe this piece was used for ice cream for Lego city for the ice cream criminals. Next let's talk about the batmobile which is not made up of very many pieces it's again a four plus set it gives you the feeling of a batmobile and no stickers in it all the bat symbols and car pieces are all printed to give the illusion of the batmobile. There are no Play features with this batmobile it is just basically what you see is what you get honestly it is disappointing the fact that how many four plus batmobiles we get when you know we could be getting a four plus flash set or A 4 plus Superman set or something along the line. But that's all I have for this set so let's move on to the price per piece. This set has 63 pieces and retails for $24 Canadian. Last set we're going to be taking a look at is that me Tumblr versus Two-Face and the Joker

this set comes with three Minifigures Batman Joker and Two-Face. First build I want to start out with is the bat signal it's a decent build it also does have a nice sticker on it with the bat signal detailing on it. Honestly I think out of the few pieces that they used for it I definitely think it was well worth the build. Now the Tumblr unfortunately is a lot smaller than the original one from 4 years ago it only has enough room for one minifigure when the original one had two spots for Minifigures to sit in. There is one play feature where there you can shoot out studs. Now the overall building of the tumbler is really nice I definitely think they did a decent job at making the Tumblr look as accurate to The dark Knight films as possible. But unfortunately they had to make it a lot smaller for a lot more money than the previous one which is unfortunate. I definitely think as the years go on a lot of these batmobiles are getting a lot smaller and not giving us the details I know they could be doing. This set does bring us the first dark Knight two face we've ever seen and the first non-u-cs dark Knight Joker as well you don't have to pay two $300 for the giant tumbler when you can now have one in a $90 tumbler instead much more affordable to get the Joker now. But that's all I have for this set so let's move on to the price per piece. This set costs $79 and has 429 pieces. Now let's move on to my final thoughts honestly

the sets aren't that great I feel like a lot of the Batman stuff is basically things that we've seen previously and definitely could have been done a lot better and the one Superman set is just something that we didn't really need for Superman it's nice to finally get an updated the Superman and the updated Lex Luthor after not seeing them in sets since 2020 was the last time we got a Superman or Lex Luthor. But this Mech would have been a lot better for Lex Luthor instead. Honestly I hope this helps anyone who's on the fence for these sets moving forward. I would say wait on a sale for any one of these sets I don't think they're worth it at full price. But that's all I have for this review this has been the brick boss and I will see you all in the next DC review
