An Original Fan Fiction Written by DA FFAN ! We teamed up and are writing a chapter by ourselves! Each of us are going to write a chapter and rotate until we finish the story!
Please note: due to a shift of , a few small changes have been applied. Zero has been replaced with Hinata, a shy boy who can become quite sarcastic and loud around friends. Due to this change, the story no longer takes place within the Adventure universe. Chapters 2 have been altered slightly to reflect these changes.
“Digimon?” Sun’s voice echoed the confusion that shrouded her face. Following the creature came two more, a brown rabbit with huge ears and a small orange pig looking creature with wings donning its head.
“Yeah! My name is Elecmon, and I’m your partner Sun!” The red and blue rabbit-dog creature proudly claimed as he ran up to Sun. Still confused, Sun bent down to get a better look at Elecmon. “What do you mean, partners?” She questioned the excited creature.
“You don’t want to be my partner? Well tough luck because you’re stuck with me! But don’t worry, I promise to protect you!” Elecmon looked up at Sun proudly, boasting a large grin on his face.
“I…I didn’t mean it like that…” Sun attempted to correct herself, trailing her speech as she struggled to find the right words.
Sophie moved away from Jono towards the two new monsters. Taking a run up, the rabbit glided through the air a short distance, landing straight into her arms. “Huh, I thought you would be a little taller than this…” The rabbit commented staring at her partner.
“Don’t go throwing bricks in a glass house. Also, I’m plenty tall enough thank you very much,” Sophie joked, holding the rabbit in her arms, looking her up and down.
“I’m glad my partner at least has a sense of humour,” the rabbit gave a cheeky grin, “I’m Lopmon! You and me, Sophie, together we’re going to be unstoppable!”
The orange pig flew over to Hinata, landing on his head. Peeking his face down, he stared into Hinata’s eyes. “Hi there Hinata! I’m Patamon!” The orange creature cheerfully exclaimed, it’s ears flapping slightly.
“How do you know my name?” Hinata questioned his new friend.
“Why wouldn’t I? We’re partners after all!”
“Umm… I don’t mean to alarm you all, but Tina is hurt,” The purple kangaroo seemed fixated on his partner. Tina clutched her ankle, avoiding eye , “Sprain. I’ll be ok soon. Thank you, um…”
“Dorumon.”
“We don’t have soon, we need to get out of here now,” Patamon’s cheery voice filled with worry.
“Why, what’s going on?” Although normally Jono would be more confused having a monster suddenly declare it was his ‘partner’, being the only one in the group without one seemed to stir that emotion even more. Added to that was Patamon’s sudden worry, filling the boy with tension.
A roar echoed through the trees to the small clearing inhabited by the humans and their Digimon. “Ok, time to go,” Elecmon started moving away from Sun in the opposite direction to the roar. Jono and Hinata ran over to Tina and helped her up, sharing her weight between them. “We’re not going to get far like this. Whatever that thing is, it’ll catch up to us in no time. We’ve got to stay and fight!” Sophie’s voice was filled with ion as she turned in the opposite direction to everyone else. Lopmon looked up at her partner, “Normally I would be all for this plan, but we already have someone on distraction. We all promised BlackGatomon that we would get you guys out of here safely.”
Sophie hesitated for a few seconds before deciding that it would be better to keep the group together then split them up. She turned around and ran to her fleeing comrades.
“Who’s BlackGatomon?” Jono turned his head over his left shoulder as Sophie and Lopmon caught up to everyone else.
“She’s your partner Jono.” Elecmon called from the front of the pack. Knowing he wasn’t the only one left out, and the fact that his partner was strong enough to handle whatever was chasing them made Jono smile slightly.
The group continued through the woods. The noise seemed to be gaining on them slowly, getting louder and louder as time went on. The roaring was soon ed by crashing, as if the forest was being destroyed by whatever was following them. The group eventually reached what looked like a dead end, standing at the base of a large cliff. The forest seemed to clear a little bit, leaving a small area containing no plant-life. Elecmon, leading the group, turned to the right to run alongside the cliff. Before the rest of the group could , a fire raced through the forest, setting alight the area surrounding the group, trapping them. The group huddled together, Sophie stood at the front with Lopmon standing on her shoulders. Jono and Hinata stood at the back, still ing Tina and Sun stood in the middle. Patamon flew off Hinata’s head, landing in front of the group, and was quickly ed by Elecmon and Dorumon.
A small black cat like creature was flung from the flames, landing in front of the group of misfits. She looked tattered and damaged, bearing a few bruises and burnt sections of fur. Wiping some dirt from her face, she gave a cocky grin, “Oh, now you’re bringing Jono into the fight? Ok buddy, looks like things have just got ‘purrsonal’.” Bursting from the flames came a blue dinosaur. It too had signs of an ongoing war, but it's eyes burned ionately, displaying its drive to fight.
“That’s Allomon,” The black cat explained, “he has a pretty hard head, and that fire is no laughing matter. Don’t worry, he’s no match for us. I’ve got this Jono, after all I am your partner.”
Letting out a roar of intimidation, Allomon charged at the group. The Digimon launched themselves at the dinosaur, being flung to the side by his size. The humans dived out of the way, narrowly avoiding Allomon’s rampage. Allomon now stood beneath the cliff, growling at the kids and their Digimon. Patamon flew forward, flying to the right of the dinosaur.
“Boom Bubble!” The orange Digimon screamed, launching a blast of air at Allomon. Allomon’s head moved to the side in pain from the small Digimon’s attack. Elecmon ran up next, screaming, “Electric Stun Blast!” Thunder coursed through Allomon’s body, causing the dinosaur to let out a screech of pain.
“Petit Twister!” Lopmon gained a running start, creating a small twister with her body and rammed into Allomon.
The three Digimon managed to keep the dinosaur busy as the rest of the friends found their footing. Sun had gone over to Tina, and took off her school ribbon and started tying it around her ankle to it. Dorumon stood close by, ready to protect her partner if Allomon got through the other Digimon. Hinata and Sophie stood at the front of the group, almost looking as if they were trying to figure out how they could help their Digimon fight. Jono sat next to BlackGatomon, who was struggling to stand.
“Don’t worry about me. I’m fine. I can keep fighting,” BlackGatomon struggled through her words.
“Bullshit. You’re hurt. It must’ve been hard to keep him busy for that long,” Jono looked down at his partner as she picked herself up from the ground.
Allomon let out a sea of flames at the rookie Digimon, causing them to fall to the ground. He started moving forward from the base of the cliff. At this moment, Dorumon ran forward, ready to keep the Digimon away from the others. “Metal Cannon!” A small spherical ball launched from the Digimon’s mouth, and pierced Allomon in the chest. Allomon took a step back, his back against the cliff wall.
“If only there was some way I could help…,” Sophie muttered under her breath.
“The cliff,” Tina spoke up, “If we could destroy those rocks…” Above Allomon’s head jutted out a loose looking rock structure. Sophie ran up to Lopmon, who was picking herself up off the ground with the other rookie Digimon.
“You can fly, right? You’ve got to destroy those rocks up there,” Sophie pointed to the alcove of rocks Tina spotted.
“Glide. I can glide. I could never reach that height with this amount of wind and space for a running start. Patamon’s our flyer,” Lopmon still managed to sound cynical through the pain.
“Yeah, but my Boom Bubble isn’t strong enough to break those rocks. We need a physical force like your Petit Twister,” Patamon sighed. Dorumon was flung to the ground with a sweep of Allomon’s tail. The rookie Digimon all ran back to continue the onslaught.
“Boom Bubble!”
“Electric Stun Blast!”
“Metal Cannon!”
“Petit-,” Lopmon tried to attack, but was stopped by Sophie holding onto her ear.
“I’ve got to help the others, or we’ll never win!”
“What if I gave you a boost to get up there?”
Lopmon locked eyes with Sophie, before nodding. Holding onto Lopmon’s ear, Sophie spun around in a circle.
“NOW!” Sophie let go of Lopmon like a discus. The rabbit Digimon used the momentum from the spin to fly straight towards the rocks.
“Petit Twister!” Lopmon smashed right into the rocks, sending them crashing down below. The rookie Digimon quickly dashed out of the way, avoiding the blast. Allomon let out a screech of pain as his body was piled under the rocks. A bright light, almost looking like binary numbers leaked from the rock pile, seeming to fly into the sky above and disperse.
“We… WE DID IT!” Everyone seemed to let out in joy at the completion of the fight. Patamon flew straight into Hinata’s arms, proudly wiggling his ears. Dorumon nuzzled Tina, who softly pet the purple Digimon. Elecmon started bragging about his achievements to Sun, who seemed embarrassed by her Digimon. Sophie caught Lopmon as she glided down, both laughing. Jono gave BlackGatomon a fistbump, then picked her up.
“Why was that Digimon attacking us?” Jono asked his partner.
“Don’t you know anything? Digimon hate humans. Well, most of them anyway,” BlackGatomon replied.
“Why do Digimon hate humans?” Sun asked the group, seemingly puzzled.
“We’re not sure, but a lot of Digimon have been dying recently, a lot of good Digimon. There’s a rumour going around that it’s a human doing it,” Elecmon answered his partner’s question.
“Well whatever is going on, we’re stuck here now, so it looks like we’re going to have to deal with whatever is going on,” Hinata looked at the rest of the group, and they nodded in agreement. At the very least, everyone seemed happy to be alive.
From the top of the cliff, a mysterious figure and a small dragonoid Digimon stared down at the celebrating group.
“…Interesting.”
“Think we’ve finally found someone who will pose a challenge for me?”
“Possibly. Let’s keep an eye on them for now, see where they go from here. Destroying them now would be too boring.”
“…Fine. But I can kill them later right?”
“Of course. I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
