Haru has gathered all the leaders and their digimon together, but for what purpose? Silly fanfiction I threw together. I hope you enjoy :D
Disclaimer: Using English dub names, unless English dub has not been released. Meant to be light-hearted, expect teasing between seasons and 4th wall breaks.
“Uhh, Tai, why are we here again?” Davis followed the older digidestined as they walked through an old, dark tunnel. “You the people we met in that dimension with the kid obsessed with becoming a superstar?” Tai answered. “I twought that was non-canon,” sitting on Davis’ poofy hair, Demiveemon piped up, but everyone seemed to ignore him. “We’re going to meet with all the other heroes, plus a new one,” Tai continued, ducking slightly so his own poofy hair doesn't scrape the ceiling and, Azulongmon forbid, mess it up more than it already is. Davis followed suit, more concerned about his partner then his hair, “Ah that’s cool… uhhhh why though?” “Beats me,” Tai shrugged. “Hey look, I think that’s where we’re meant to be!” Agumon exclaimed while pointing to a ray of light coming from the end of the tunnel. The two friends and their Digimon continued forward, reaching the end and arriving in what appeared to be an underground library.
Greeting the digidestined shyly stood Haru, arms behind his back looking slightly down, “Umm… hi… I… err…”
“You don't need to be so shy. I'm Davis, and this is my partner Demiveemon.”
“You’re one of the legendary heroes, right?”
“Yep, so is Tai over here. He's the original one as well, which makes him everyone's favourite, even though he probably doesn't have quite as much charm as me.”
With that remark from Davis, Tai stepped in to introduce himself, “Ignore him, I think his hairspray has leaked into his brain. I’m Tai, and this is my partner, Agumon.” “It's a pleasure to meet you,” Agumon raised his claw, smiling at Haru, “do you have a partner?” “I have a buddy, his name is Gatchmon he’s organising some food.” Haru smiled. At that moment, three more people stepped through the tunnel, followed by two Digimon.
“Takatomon, can I have some food now?” Guilmon complained to his partner. “We’re almost there, I'm sure they’ll have something to eat.” Takato replied. Although Takato has been in much worse places, dark creepy tunnels is right up there in his ‘avoid at all costs’ list of locations, bringing back some bad memories of the time he almost lost his best friend for good. “Takato, is that you?” a familiar voice called from behind.
“Takuya?”
Takuya ran up and dug his elbow playfully into Takato’s side, “How ya been buddy?”
“Not bad, just looking forward to getting to this place. Do you know why we’re here anyway?”
“Nope,” Takuya answered.
“Boss, I hear voices up ahead.”
“That's probably some of the others.”
“Marcus, is that you?” Takato called out as two more figures came into view. “Hey, if it isn't my two fellow fighters!” Marcus ruffled Takato’s hair and Takuya’s hat, causing Takato to blush slightly and Takuya, not used to being on the receiving end, to immediately fix his hat. “We should keep walking, we can't be far off,” Takuya remarked.
“But I'm tired and hungry. Takato, can you carry me?”
“Me too boss!”
The five of them continued forward, eventually reaching the end of the tunnel.
Guilmon ran forward into the open area, gaining the attention of Demiveemon. Jumping from his partner's head, he greater the red dinosaur, “Guilmon!” The two Agumons ed, and the four of them started happily chatting amongst themselves. Tai stepped forward, taking the initiative before Davis runs his mouth again, “Hey everyone! Takato, Takuya, Marcus, this is Haru, and Haru, well, this is everyone!” “We’re still missing Mikey and Tagiru,” Takato corrected him.
“Tagiru, someone said your name, they must know how much of a superstar you are!”
Four more figures walked out of the tunnel, two Digimon and their partners. Mikey stepped forward and shook hands with Haru, “I’m Mikey, this is my partner Shoutmon, as well as Tagiru and his partner Gumdramon” “Wow, all the heroes together in the same room! This is so cool!” Tagiru couldn't hold back his excitement. Shoutmon shook his head while staring at the wild child and his partner geek out over everything. Stepping out of a side room, Gatchmon came holding a plate filled with lots of packets of some kind of biscuit, “I've got food! It's the best food ever as well!”
“Gatchmon, I told you to not just get GatchiSweets”
“But they're so good!”
“OK then. Just make sure everyone gets some.”
As Gatchmon introduces himself to the other Digimon and fights Guilmon for first dibs on the food, Mikey breaks the silence, “So, why exactly are we here?” “Not only that, but where is here?” Takuya added. “And why are Tai and Davis the same age?” Takato further questioned, “for that matter, why is Guilmon here? And how do Mikey and Tagiru have Shoutmon and Gumdramon?” “Uhh, plot convenience. We’re in a space between dimensions that just happens to resemble my friend Ai’s bookstore, and you’re here because… well…” Haru started off well, but began trailing his sentence. “Because…?” Marcus, arms folded raised an eyebrow at the young protagonist.
“Because I heard you're all legendary warriors, and I want to learn how to become a great protagonist like you guys!”
