Lionize [POEM]

Guess who decided to watch some old cartoons! (Hint: it's me!)

By the way, I bought two hardback books for the price of at around 2 USD... in other words, so cheap! They're both in pretty good shape considering that they're gently used. But enough of that, though... here's:

I am nobody's Hero,

only now I realised

how I will stay a Zero,

never to be lionized,

All the courage you've spoken

is not quite reality;

In this world that's all broken,

not all truths will set you free,

I enjoy the kindly moon

surrounded with Nature's Life,

I wish to dance by their tune

just to forget the world's strife,

Hope is slowly running out

and we do not have much time,

so much that without a doubt,

I could hear the death knell's chime,

And as peaceful as this night,

I could see a calm feline

with eyes simply without fright

and footfalls that are benign,

Why couldn't I be like him-

a cat that had feared nothing?

A fancy thought, made by whim,

but made my ideas sing,

In this world that is lonely,

they have missed out a big clue!

They have missed what might only

make Kingdom Come to be true!

And as the world became bright

with something I realised,

I stayed away from fame's sight,

never to be lionized,

Because for all of life's worth,

wisdom should not have been priced;

If you have what could save earth,

don't wait 'til you're lionized!
