𒆜𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐉𝐢𝐧𝐰𝐨𝐨𒆜

This series starts off with your typical loser who seemingly has no shot at the top spot. Sung Jinwoo is the lowest of lowest ranks as a hunter. No special capabilities or assets besides his quick thinking & eager reliability. He’s seen as weak & pure novice. I already liked the whole fantasy cyber themed vibe I was getting from it & the monster dungeons trope. Jinwoo miraculously saves his entire team of hunters while being the lowest of ranks to do so, saved by a mysterious program that seemingly helps him level up & get stronger as a hunter. Summoned after a near death experience, Jinwoo was leveling up! The ultimate rank up for his life. With the intense action scenes, great voice acting & plot layout, I knew this series would be an ace for me. Jinwoo wants to be stronger for himself, friends and especially his family. His mother was bedridden in a hospital due to an illness that can’t be cured naturally. In a coma. Jinwoo finally feels useful in his life as he discovers what the power he obtained truly holds & how he can get more. All thr while dealing with other various adversities along the way. Setting the premise for Solo Leveling! A grand introduction to me!

𒆜𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐔𝐩𒆜

This anime sort of reminds me of a lesser popular anime named #RELIFE . It reminds me of it in the of starting over and becoming a cooler person based off some technical program. I’m sure most people would jump at the chance to level up instantly in life & have a complete 360 turn around on how others perceive them. I’ve always thought that the concept of leveling up from being the underdog was cool. Jinwoo got stronger because of his bravery. Once Jinwoo saw how much he could achieve & rank up, he kept at it with training. Each step of the way learning how his powers work. Leveling up didn’t stop Jinwoo from being human & doing things like trying to cure his mom & protect his sister. He finally had the courage enough to stand out in the crowd and become the mad he’s wanted to be. There are so many ways to level up in our own everyday lives. It’s definitely more entertaining watching someone do it on screen though. What I like about this series is that Jinwoo levels up to get to where he wants to be, it’s never just a quick bounce. Letting someone like me know that it truly takes time to chase your dreams & achieve your goals. You may even lose along the way.

𒆜𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬 & 𝐃𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐬𒆜

Not only is the plot extremely exhilarating, the action is too! I love the whole dungeon style quest in anime, but I feel like some of them never reach their peak potential. This anime does all its action scenes justice with incredible animation & choreography. Season 1 of this series left me wanting more of that in season 2 and they delivered! From fighting Oni giants to crazy ice elf wizards things. Everything feels cinematic & on a great pace with the action. It truly showcases the growth of Jinwoo’s level ups as he faces greater challenges. It’s always funny seeing the other characters be shocked at his power too while he plays it cool everytime. The monsters & gremlins actually look grotesque & menacing which makes it more believable that Sung Jinwoo is facing tough opponents. So powerful that even some S ranks struggle to overcome them.

Jinwoo isn’t invincible though like Mark Grayson. You can see the struggles clearly even when he manages to come out alive. Each battle & dungeon you see how Jinwoo slowly but surely mastering his program and ranking up. Having to come to with the fact that not every challenge can be predicted or prepared for. All the hunters want him on their side & with more issues that arise, Jinwoo is a number #1 target for attention that he really never wanted. Jinwoo is a family man to his core & has to watch his back & theirs. Jinwoo definitely went from never a threat to being more threatening as he gains more power. It kind of gives his character a mysterious lore as to how deep his madness can go. You can see it foreshadowed without the series. Usually when things seem to go too perfect, something bad is bound to happen. Is there a such thing as too much aura & power? I mean, just look at our world around us.

𒆜𝐀𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞, 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝’𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐭 𝐓𝐨 𝐀𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐋𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𒆜

Thats all truth with how the anime is doing globally. It’s the next wave of great anime that everyone seems to become a fan of. Solo Leveling to me has all the key components to the making of a legendary anime. Having great story, animation, battles, uniqueness with the characters & lore is bound for success. I’ve come to realize that a majority of anime fans nowadays are hard to please, so it’s pretty cool to see anime still becoming this popular. You can see the time & appreciation put into this series and it may just raise other’s standards of what a good anime is entirely. Jinwoo is still my favorite character and his journey has been fun to watch. I’m just trying to see how far he can really take it & what challenges he will face. Especially with the pressure from the other hunters & world putting him in the spotlight. Whatever his objectives are, he’s gonna look badass fulfilling them. It’s so great to see an edgy anime done right and that still leaves me wanting more. Seeing a basic character tuned up into a complete boss is just peak. Just how dark can the series get? It just feels like an anime that isn’t afraid to push past its limit and experiment with its creativity. This certainly is a series that others would hate on if they haven’t watched it yet. Just because something is popular doesn’t mean that it’s bad. Most popular anime is popular for a great reason.
