Idle Thoughts [POEM]

They said that idle hands

are the devil's workshop,

but it seems like my personal devil

is procrastinating right now.

                     Still alive! My story is going pretty

                     well, methinks. But it is still not yet

                     ready to be posted...

                     Oh, and a big typhoon is coming…

                     hopefully it won't affect me too

                     much, with what the virus goin'

                     round and round. I don't want to

                     deal with either of them, but yeah...

It's just another day

to understand all my jumbled thoughts,

but then I hit the hurdle

that would decide the fate of my design,

I can try to mix things up,

try to make it all unique,

but there's a limit for all this,

I don't know what to write!

I don't know what to write,

no more inspirations,

and looking at the photos

does nothing at all,

I'm running out of ideas

no matter what I do,

I'd like to give up

but then my pride would not allow me to,

I can try and use clichés

and then add some twist to that old ending,

but even then my hand won't budge,

so what am I to write about now?

There is madness behind scenes,

but it's not like I'll show it,

for this problem's mine, alone,

it's not theirs,

But topics are hard to come!

No matter what they say

about inspiration,

nothing would work on me

since I tried it all,

And maybe what I need

is just a little break,

a small vacation

as another mean to distract myself

from this,

A new muse

is what I think I need

about now,

And some ideas

just cannot fit well

to my old ones,

All I wanted was

to write something that

will make me smile,

But I don't know what to write!

I cannot think of some

ideas that stands out,

I think I need a break

from this old rat race,

I cannot think of some

wild concepts so unique,

my brain is like a mush

that's shouting nonsense,

I really want to write

something quite entrancing,

but even then I thought that

it's too much to ask,

And if all I needed

to get back on track was

to take a long rest,

I would gladly take a break,

or maybe two or three!
