'tis better for momentary slumber
than an eternal rest plagued
with cold memories…

This is something I came up with to
tell y'all that I'm not dead, dying, nor
in a state of decay. I've been
swamped with school stuffs and
not— I repeat, NOT— been binge
watching anime right now. That
being said, I forgot how hooked I
was with Bungou Stray Dogs… and
Gabriel DropOut… or Strike The
Blood.
Anyway, I'm also working on a new
story, so poems will be sparse. Y'all
can check out old ones though, for
curious peeps out there... and
speaking of Old Ones, well... yeah.

Even heroes needed a rest
from defending their kingdom,
and what better way to sleep than
that with nature's soft embrace?
Breathe in that untamed forest air
and sleep alongside the roots
that had grown deep within the soil,
embracing the woodland bed,
Be guided by the singing birds
and fall into a deep sleep,
be comforted by their music,
a gift from the high heavens,
Fall into a wonderful dream
where no problems would arise,
be tempted by the vice of sloth,
hold on to that wonderland,
Heal, and then recover some more,
bandage those forgotten wounds
that had once been lost throughout time,
then let those scars fade away,
Let the wild flowers adorn all
the bruises as with the cuts,
let nature carry the burden
of harbouring the sharp pains,
Be at rest, even for a day,
heal— be healed— and stay at peace,
silence the ravenous daemons
inside the temple, the mind,
Be at rest, even for a day,
let the storm inside die down,
let the phoenix stay as ashes
and the wolves hide in sheep's wool,
For there is no greater magic
than nature's own healing air,
be at rest, and then be at peace,
be embraced by nature's warmth,
Even if the kingdoms do fall,
if one is wounded, tired,
then let them rest until they're healed,
and even then, let them sleep,
Kingdoms can be rebuilt again,
back into their former glory,
but oneself?
It cannot.
