Before the sky enlightens,

will my flaws fade away?

With a dozing mind, he layed in bed wondering where his friends had been and why he was left to survive in the middle of this chaos in absolute solitude. With a set of horns growing on his head, shamelessly, he hid himself in a long abandoned cottage.

It was just horns- just horns.

They weren't his weakness but he made it one. The devils around him had dragged him to a forlorn path, a path that was no ones to take. With fear spreading its wings upon the gentleman, a slight feeling of guilt made its throne in his heart.

~All day long tick, tick, tick, tick

Like this I beg, beg, beg

________

As the stars drifted apart, the others walked beyond the bounderies just to lock themselves with another pain.

________

With stealthy and careful steps, i made my way to him. He layed there, covered in a velvety blanket, looking out of the window, iring the clear sky and letting the moonlight reach out to him and bid him a good night.

Tears had left their marks of presence on his chubby cheeks. The horns showed no affection, were indeed double the size of what they were at dawn.

"Is everything alright, my beloved?"

"no", he replied sharply. a step closer and he flinched and looked at me with eyes bursting with tears of fear. He sat up straight and leaned against the wall, squeezing himself as tight as he could and covering everything except his eyes with his cloth companion.

I sat down and looked at him in the most gentlest manner. "I can help you if you'd like me to." Moment of silence, he closed his eyes and opened them back up a minute later. "i only seek help from Them and not You."

"but you already know me."

Silence crept in again. I whispered "you can trust me, dearest"

He looked at me again, this time with tears of hope trickling down his cheeks.

~''I feel all lonely

No no please,

Can't I make a wish?"

-he pleaded, all of a sudden, slightly catching me off guard. "my precious, tis day shall too . why is it you want to wish?"

~"It's making me crazy, crazy"

"my horns are a pain, oh my horns are a dreadful pain. take them away."

he crawled forwards and begged. he wanted his horns to disappear without knowing why he was gifted with them in the first place. I politely patted his head and spoke "dearest, your horns are beautiful, don't look down upon them with disgust and hate."

he looked a bit taken aback. with sadness filling up in his eyes, he looked at his hand and then his horn in the mirror across the room. without a second thought he held a horn with both his hands, tightly and brutally. with all his might he pulled and pulled and pulled. i was locked in my place, as he continued to remove his horns.

i wished to help but he was already determined. i wished to stop but he was already more than half way there. the devil guarded him. he was carving his way to death, he was indeed walking down the wrong lane, a lane he thought was right but he was indeed blinded by lies, by grief and by the devil.

_______

and an hour or two, his horns were replaced by a crown of flowers. but the horns had taken his soul with them. the body with the flower crown layed there, lifeless.

never did he realize, his horns were the real crown.

the end

the horns here symbolized as flaws. you're flaws, you're mistakes, you're scars... they are what make you what you are today; beautiful and precious. even if at one point you wish you were perfect, just know perfection does not exist in this world. no one is perfect. no one was perfect. no one will be perfect. something that may look intimidating or absurd may not always be that way. its the inside that matters.

with that being said, thank you for coming this far. I'd love to get your and even constructive criticism can work :)
