Another day of waiting for countless hours to , only to meet with agony and failure. The waves seemed to wash away their luck and the hook, it was indeed cursed. The fishes were definitely quite moody. They swam towards the most fancy feed they sensed. Everyday was like the other but Aciel and Mark didn't seem to be bothered.
"This is how life works." was all the two ever spoke. The words hid all their pain and failure in a perfect way.The phrase played a bit of another role aswell; aspiration.
The sun bestowed no mercy upon Aciel and Mark that day. They sat silently. Each lost in their own little bubbles of imagination; one was a knight flying to the moon and was never to come back. The other a well known CEO of the worlds top selling seafood company. Even if this was just imagination, the two were thankful that they could at least live in 2 worlds at the same time; fantasy and reality.
" me the bait", spoke Mark in his hoarsest voice, stepping out of his imaginery world. Aciel picked up the bag of worms and tossed it over to Mark who in the most heartless way picked up the skinniest of the worms and adjusted it on his hook. Aciel looked at the scene in the most disgusting way as if this was the first time he had ever seen someone do something like that.
---
Time ed by and the two sat there quietly. From afar they may have been mistaken for some cartoonic figures but from near...they looked like a nightmare; all worn out, their pants dripping with icy water and their hands covered in dirt that certainly was one of the last remembrances of those bizarre worms that were nothing but a waste of money.
As the two waited for the sky to darken (so they could head back home), something tagged Aciel's rod. He looked up and sharply observed. A fish circled around his hook. Mark had his eyes popping out too and in about 2 minutes after a huge struggle and tons of prayers, a gigantic fish was taken out of water and was destined to be traded with money.
It was indeed a big catch but what waited for them ahead was never even to be predicted. It was nearly blue hour. A magical time of the day. As Aciel and Mark shared their happiness, in a flash of an eye, nothing remained on the deck. Everything had vanished. The fish, Aciel put on his biggest smile ever while Mark was still wondering if his fantasy world had gone too far as to entering the real world and flipping it upside down. With a pounding heart, he touched the fish's scales and yelled unconsciously, "You did it Aciel, you caught a fish". Both of them danced, bursting with euphoria.
Aciel and Mark.
The Blue Hour had shown it's colors. It had been the cause of the sudden dispersal of Aciel and Mark to...........another dimension.
