Chapter 15

“Well I’m very much alive” Red replied.

I smiled sleepily at him as I jumped off the railing and onto the balcony.

“You look tired” he said.

“I got home later than I expected yesterday and then had to deal with some things.”

Red decided not to pry.

“Well if you're tired you can just take a nap here.”

I didn't have to be told twice.

I flopped onto the bed my exhaustion taking over.

I felt the blankets shift a bit as Red sat on the opposite side of the bed.

Even under the blankets I still felt cold, so I shifted closer to Red.

He didn't move away, so I got closer till I was snuggled up against him.

I ed the feeling of fingers lightly brushing through my hair as I slowly drifted into a peaceful sleep.
