Here’s the next piece of the story! Time to find out what genius plan our four characters come up with to explain the situation. Hope you guys enjoy!

Just a bit of a note: I imagine them speaking Japanese normally. But since I obviously can’t write in Japanese the entire fic is written is English. Also since Midoriya and Todoroki take English classes at UA, I imagine they are both pretty fluent.

For a Reason Part Five

Todoroki, Midoriya, Hinata, and Kageyama were all in Hinata’s room. Hinata was sitting in Kageyama’s lap on the former’s bed. Midoriya was sitting on the floor in between Todoroki’s legs and leaning back on the later’s chest. It was time to come up with a game plan. It didn’t look like Todoroki and Midoriya would be able to return home anytime soon.

Natsu may be a lot younger than her brother but the little girl did have a point. Todoroki and Midoriya were going to need a decent cover story for why they were here.

“So we can’t just tell them the truth? The team seemed to take it pretty well after all,” Todoroki ventured.

Hinata laughed nervously, “Well, our team is kind of full of a bunch of oddballs. It was also hard to deny your story with those demonstrations you guys did. I think my mom would freak out if we told her the truth though.”

Kageyama hummed in agreement, “I love your mom Shoyo, but she would definitely freak out about this. Unless the both of you want to be demonstrating your quirks to a lot more people, we should come up with a better cover story.”

“So exchange students then?” Todoroki questioned with a thoughtful tone. “That is what you told Natsu-chan after all.”

Midoriya nodded in agreement and enthusiastically replied, “That could definitely work. From what you’ve told us, we’ve learned the same things at our school back home as you’re learning here.”

Kageyama sighed a little bit, “We’d need some way to get credibility to that statement though if we’re going to get you both access to our school campus. Documents wouldn’t be too hard, the problem is a at your supposed school.”

Midoriya winced at that as he realized Kageyama was right. He started muttering as his brain started thinking quickly, “That’s right, we don’t really know anyone else in this world. Sho and I have already tried our cell phones and no calls go through to home so that’s not going to work. Maybe have someone pretend to be a school principal but would we be able to pull that off at all.”

Todoroki hugged Midoriya to him and placed his head on top of his boyfriend’s curls. This effectively stopped Midoriya from muttering as the green haired male looked up at his lover, “What is it Sho? Do you have an idea?”

Todoroki nodded and then looked over to Kageyama and Hinata before reciting in a perfect English without a trace of an accent. “Hello Principal of Karasuno High School. I trust my two students Shoto Todoroki and Izuku Midoriya arrived there safely yesterday? Oh! Did you not get the paperwork for the notice of exchange students? I’m sorry, the documents must’ve gotten lost, I’ll get my secretary to send those as soon as she can. The boys should have their IDs with them and I’d appreciate it if you take good care of them.”

Hinata’s mouth dropped open and Kageyama looked begrudgingly impressed. “Wow!! Shoto, your English skills are so good!! How did you manage to get that good at speaking without an accent?”

Todoroki flushes a little bit, embarrassed to be getting praise for his English skills. “Ah, it’s nothing. I just practice quite a bit.”

Midoriya smiled happily at his boyfriend and pressed a quick kiss to his lips. “Don’t sell yourself short, Sho. You have always been amazing at English.” Todoroki flushed even more and tucked his face into his lover’s hair to hide it.

It was at that moment that the click of a door was heard, followed by a call of an older woman, “Natsu! Shoyo! I’m home!”

Hinata perked up at the familiar call, “Ah! My mother’s home. Shoto, can you do a modified version of that explanation for my mother. Your English skills will make the story credible.”

Todoroki raised his head and nodded in confirmation. Midoriya chimed in a cheerful voice, “I can help as well.”

Hinata smiled at Midoriya gratefully before getting up and heading out of his room, pulling Kageyama with him. Midoriya and Todoroki followed close behind. Hinata took a big breath before heading into the kitchen where he knew his mother would be. “Here goes nothing,” he mumbled.
