For a Reason Part Three

Midoriya and Todoroki led Hinata and the others out of the club room and down the stairs. They headed out to one of the school fields, farther away from the buildings. Kageyama raised an eyebrow at this, wondering what they needed all this space for.

Midoriya wandered further out from the others. “Alright, I’ll go first. I have what’s known as a stat enhancing quirk. I explained a bit of it to Hinata and Kageyama earlier. Basically, my quirk allows my body to be stronger, faster, and more durable.” After he finished his quick explanation, he closed his eyes and focused for a little bit before activating his quirk along his whole body. Midoriya decided to keep the level of it at twenty percent since this was just a demonstration. Green lightning wrapped around his body causing it to glow a greenish blue.

To say that everyone on the Karasuno team was shocked was an understatement. Everyone’s mouths were wide open in shock and disbelief. Hinata, Tanaka, and Nishinoya were the first to get over their shock. All three shouted in amazement and started freaking out.

“Holy cow! Mister Izuku’s body is glowing!! It’s like a more real life version of Nishinoya-san’s Rolling Thunder!” Hinata exclaimed, his eyes wide as saucers.

Nishinoya, for his part, was too busy being amazed to comment on Hinata’s slight to his technique. “Is that real lightning mister Midoriya?! How fast does it make you?!”

Tanaka had no words that he could think of to describe his amazement. For the first time in a long while, the verbose spiker was rendered speechless. Kageyama and Daichi just gazed in awe. Sugawara muttered to himself, “I wasn’t sure that this would actually be real. You guys are all seeing the same things right?”

“Yeah, we’re definitely not dreaming at the very least.” Daichi itted.

Todoroki had a smile on his face. He knew his boyfriend wasn’t even using all of his power. He glanced over to Hinata and saw that the energetic boy was still holding onto a volleyball. The pro-hero’s eyes sparkled a little, they could make this a real show using that. He turned towards Hinata and gestured to the volleyball and asked calmly, “Could we borrow that for a second?”

Hinata furrowed his brows as he looked from Todoroki to the volleyball and back. “Um sure mister Todoroki. What do you need the ball for though?”

“I’m going to make this a little bit more interesting.” Todoroki stated with a small smile on his lips. He then stepped away from the others towards Midoriya. When he deemed he was a far enough distance away, he set the volleyball on the floor at his feet. Then he turned back to the others. “I have an elemental quirk. I can produce and control fire from the left side of my body and ice from the right side.” As he stated this, he produced fire and ice from the respective sides to demonstrate his point.

The eyes of everyone on the Karasuno team got even wider at Todoroki’s display of his power. If they had any lingering doubts about this not being real, that small demonstration banished the thought from their minds.

Todoroki turned to look at his boyfriend, “I won’t be holding back, so I expect you shouldn’t either.”

Midoriya smiled widely at his lover, the green lightning surrounding him getting brighter as he kicked his power up a notch. He knew exactly what his boyfriend was going to do and knew that this was going to be fun.

Todoroki approached the volleyball and he froze the area around it with his right foot. He elevated the volleyball off the floor by creating a tower of ice of sorts. Then he froze the volleyball quickly, frost gathering on his hand. In the next instant, he activated his left hand and instantly heated the space he had just cooled. The result was a massive explosion of sorts that shot the volleyball straight up into the sky.

Midoriya crouched down as Todoroki was preparing his ice platform. Green lightning crackling even more around his legs. Once his boyfriend had launched the volleyball, the pro-hero, released the force he was building up and he jumped up into the sky after the volleyball. With a wide smile on his face, he managed to catch the volleyball in midair. Then gravity did it’s work and he fell back down to the ground. He landed on his feet, his knees bending instinctively. His quirk and the modified soles of his costume absorbing the impact for him. A small crater formed in the dirt ground around his feet as a result of the force. Midoriya then stood with a smile and held out the volleyball that was completely unscathed.

Everyone on the Karasuno team freaked out this time. They were all completely in awe of what they had just witnessed. Kageyama looked back and forth between the two other males. His mind was completely bewildered. The setter had no idea why these two were sent here, but one thing was for sure. Nothing would be the same while they were here.

Conclusions

I’m considering putting these into more cohesive connected parts later on since I’m not sure how I like the spacing of this stuff. For now though, I think this works.
