𝙳𝚊𝚢 6. 𝙶𝚑𝚒𝚋𝚕𝚒 𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚎𝚗𝚐𝚎

6. Least favourite Ghibli character and why?

Hmm this is a hard one. I've found myself liking almost all of the Ghibli characters, but there are two characters that I don't really care about. And they are Rikako from Ocean Waves and Haru from Arrietty.

I've said before that I don't like Rikako, but I'll say it again. I don't know how the people making Ocean Waves could make her so annoying, but they did it. I really don't know if she was like that on purpose or not, but either way I just can't stand her.

I hated how mean she was to everyone and seemed to only care about herself. Rikako also made herself like the victim and blamed Taku for everything and made him apologize when he wasn't even in the wrong.

Rikako never had a moment where I would've thought that she was nice or even ok. She also never had a character development that I really wished for.

The other character I don't like is Haru. Her personality isn't as bad as Rikako's and Haru being "mean" is more understandable since she is kind of the villain in Arrietty. But usually even villains in Ghibli movies have a good side, but Haru didn't seem to have one.

Haru is in my opinion a really boring character and I just didn't care about the things she said or what would happen to her. I should rewatch Arrietty tho so my opinion would be more recent.
