𝙳𝚊𝚢 4. 𝙶𝚑𝚒𝚋𝚕𝚒 𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚕𝚕𝚎𝚗𝚐𝚎

4. Favourite female main character and why?

For this I'm going to give two characters, because I feel like the other one is pretty obvious. Also because I love all of the Ghibli female main characters so it would be unfair to choose just one. I also have talked about these characters before so I'm trying to make this short.

My number 1 favourite female character is Shizuku from Whisper of the Heart. Like I said I love her, because how relatable she is for me.

The thing with Shizuku is that she's not the most likeable character, because of her sometimes annoying personality. Personally I think her bickering with her parents and Seiji was funny and adding "negative" personality traits made her more realistic. She is also very hardworking and has hobbies that make her more realistic and interesting.

And then we have my other favourite Chihiro. I just love that in Ghibli movies the main characters are kids, because they are really fun to follow and especially Chihiro.

Like Shizuku, Chihiro is also a realistic character and has an interesting personality. It's more fun to watch a character with flaws to accomplish their adventure than a perfect and super strong character. I really love Chihiro's ability to befriend alot of the crestures in Spirited Away and that she keeps going without loosing hope.
