Hey everybody. I wrote a Johnlock poem, and I'm sharing it here. Enjoy.

Sit down my girl and listen:

Did I ever tell you the story

Of the love that ends all things

And the death that brings life anew?

Here sits a man, a fool

There stands a grieving widow

But the lost love he wishes for

Sits before him

And withdraws his words before they are spoken.

My girl, you cry just like him

All soft sobs and hidden eyes

A dripping dam, the depth of which is not seen.

I cannot show you his depth;

It is fathomless and I have spent a lifetime

Searching for the words.

There are no words.

Sidetracked again, the product of a wandering mind

The mind of a fool

And I suppose by now you know the ending

And the role you play in it -

Yes, my girl, you're in this story too

The happy ending to a tale that spanned

Decades.

But I would never speak of love in tones of horror

Though once I may have recoiled as if I did.

In truth the fool and the widow both

Had reason to hold love in terror

Yet in each other they found a sanctuary

And made love their home.

Oh, my girl, I've lost the threads of this plot

My yarn spun too thick

But you must see my meaning - can I make it any plainer?

The fool and the widow, my girl,

Have lived and loved as legends

And have given their story to you.

Consider reblogging it on tumblr

Thanks!
