Hello everyone, this is #mycuratorapplication
Thank you very much for your consideration!

Why do you want to be a curator?
First and foremost, I want to be a curator in order to help the community. In my time here, I've made some lovely friends and seen the work of very talented individuals. It would be my privilege to be able to assist in the management that makes this app so enjoyable.
I enjoy organisation, and though I have no experience as an amino curator, I have been the and forum of a number of fan sites, giving me relevant experience at managing how the posts of other people should be organised and whether or not they are in accordance with the guidelines in place. I will bring this experience to the curator role in managing the catalog and featured posts, and ensuring that the content that appears in the feed complies with community guidelines (removing spam, inappropriate content, stolen content etc and informing s of the infraction).
In addition to this, I would take the safety of other s very seriously. Everybody has the right to feel comfortable and safe when making posts and talking to other people, and ensuring that all s feel this way is a duty I will not take lightly. Whether this means disabling certain posts that are inappropriate and/ or discriminatory, bringing spam/ hacker s to the attention of Leaders for removal, or putting an end to a dispute that goes beyond a minor difference of opinion, the role of a curator in keeping other s safe cannot be understated and I would take their protection very seriously.
With a bit of a creative streak, I'd enjoy working with the other curators and leaders (and Team Competition!) to come up with new ideas for theme hours, weekend challenges, and other fun events throughout the year. Having been a member of the Sherlock amino for 270 days (at the time of writing), I believe I know what goes into making a good post, and therefore the sort of things that people will enjoy.
Another point of note is only minor, but worth stating regardless: English is my native language and I have a decent use of spelling, punctuation and grammar. This is important, as posts should be easy to read and not littered with typos that may confuse other people. Should any mistakes be noticed after proof-reading and posting, I'm always quick to go back to the post and edit it.
At the heart of this community are the people and the posts, and it would be my pleasure to help serve both.
How much time do you spend on this amino?
I visit the Sherlock amino on a daily basis. Though my overall time spent on this app appears lower than many others, this is because I use it little and often rather than for long stretches of time. In this way, I never miss a post on the feed, and I go through notifications and messages individually, without neglecting any real-life commitments such as college. Because I respond to notifications as I receive them, I am online throughout the day and quite often the night as well (as I'm notoriously a night owl).
If there is an argument between s, how would you handle it?
My response would depend on the nature of the argument. If the messages are hateful and discriminatory, the 's comments or messages would be removed and the themselves would be warned. I would then the details onto the Leaders, who can assign strikes and bans as appropriate. If the argument is based off a (non-harmful) difference of opinion, I would ask that both parties agree to disagree and accept that not everybody shares the same opinions as them, and request that they both drop the matter. Arguments and petty squabbles create a negative environment for all s - not just those directly involved - so it is important that they are tackled quickly and responsibly.
What time zone do you live in?
UTC+1 (British Summer Time)
