Peace, melancholy, and empathy

Peace was never an option for me

It haunted me for days on end

I slept

I ate

I ran away as far as I could

It kept clinging on to me

I couldn't reach it

I was so close

It kept slipping away

I became melancholic

This was my only escape

No one could hurt me

No one could free me

It was bliss

Pure Bliss haunting me daily

I didn't know what to do

I still don't

The only thing that helps me is my empathy

Understanding others brings me peace

A part of what I have been looking for

My comfort

A part of 𝘮𝘦
