You keep saying that you "love" us

You keep saying that you "miss" us

Stop with all that nonsense

The only thing you ever loved

Was that paycheck you got for us

Thats what you miss

You didnt care for us while we were with you

Most nights you were in you room doing who knows what

And most mornings you were dead asleep

I was the one who took care of us

Who made sure we were ready and got to school on time

I was the one to make sure everyones homework was done

I made sure we had taken showers

When we didnt have clean clothes i was the one to call our grandma cause i knew you werent gonna and i didnt know how to wash clothes

You never bothered to teach me how

Grandma was the one to check and make sure we'd eaten cause you couldnt have cared less

She was the one to buy us what we needed

She bought our clothes, our school supplies and quiet often our food

You spent our check on your cigarettes

On whatever you wanted

And now, all of a sudden, you "care" cause now grandma has custody of my siblings so she gets their check and im old enough that ive moved out

Stop saying you care when we all know all you really want is money

Now that you have none
