The night went deeper and the darkness grew wider as the silent whispers and grunts invaded through the cold air and were in sync with the hammering sound of the sledgehammer.

“Die! Die!”

“Be quiet or we'll be caught right away.”

“But there’s so many mosquitoes! Shi--die, mosquitoes!”

“Aish why do we even have to make an effort for that old man. Anyways please finish putting that---what's that? What the fuc--is that the piñata????”, shouted Nayeon who was putting up the decorations at the wall with tiny balloons that had barely lost almost all of its air inside.

“Don’t be so choosy now! The stores are empty so this is the only choice we have”, Jeongyeon said, then continued to hammer the nails on to the wall. If you’re wondering why she’s using a sledgehammer--please don’t ask, it’s just a complete disaster.

The whole room was beginning to quiet down when Jihyo, who just arrived at the room with her freshly-baked goodies from the building’s kitchen, burst into laughter.

“What the--It looks like a levitating pink frog!”, she shouted between her laughter.

The whole room was filled with laughter until everyone lost track of their assignments again.

Well, it’s a good thing that the managers even agreed to it, them staying at the entertainment’s building late at night just for a surprise. Although Manager Sanatozaki was the only one approved of it, other managers just don’t have enough guts to oppose--Manager Sanatozaki might end up beating them to death if it was the case.

Tomorrow is JYP’s birthday and TWICE wanted to do a surprise birthday to thank him for guiding them throughout their journey. Jinyoung only knows about the party that the entertainment will be doing but TWICE wanted a small party just for him so here they are, planning it in secret, but as expected it was a total chaos.

“What time is it now?”, Mina asked while yawning.

“It’s already 11 pm. We still aren’t finished though. I’m kinda hungry--So hungry that I even see colorful eggs everywhere”, Momo said and finally closed her eyes for a while.

“You already ate almost all of the food and you’re still hungry?”, Tzuyu asked, in a sarcastic tone.

The others immediately looked around and they all bursted laughing again, seeing those colorful eggs everywhere that maybe Nayeon put, well she’s in charge of the decorations. No such things as humans who can’t differentiate easter and birthday parties. I’m telling you...Maybe Nayeon is not a human?

“It’s a birthday party, Nayeon! Birthday party and not an easter party!”, Jeongyeon scolded then gasps for air.

“I’m not the one who put it there!”, Nayeon shouted back.

“But you said it’s okay for me to use the leftover decorations!”, Sana ed in the chaos.

“And you really believed her?”, Tzuyu asked.

“I’m just following Nayeon’s order and it isn’t that bad!”, Sana answered, clearly trying hard to defend her name.

“So dumb.”, Tzuyu said and shakes her head as if she’s disappointed but she just wanted to tease Sana.

“Tss. Like you really did something--you’re just a lookout!”, Sana dissed back.

“Well, that’s better than anyone here who didn’t do her job properly..”, Tzuyu said then Jihyo went between them before anyone caused chaos again.

“Let’s just eat the cheese kimbap that I made”, Jihyo then presented the pretty-tasty-looking cheese kimbap, the cheese isn’t melted through. That’s a sad kimbap right there.

“Cheese Kimbap? Gimme!”, Sana exclaimed then grabbed a piece after Momo, who was the first one to munch on the kimbap.

After the late night snack, they all went to sleep in a room inside the building. It’s just an empty room and they barely fit but good thing they are, other hugged another just to make some space.

The morning came and all of the were already dressed up for the surprise party--almost, Nayeon is just too sleepy to wake up very early. It was valid though, considering that they reached until 1 am.

Nayeon, Jeongyeon and Sana continue to fix the decorations inside the hall, while Momo, Mina and Jihyo are cooking(such as carbonara and pancakes) and preparing the desserts that they made last night, which are cheesecakes, cookies, and a cake. Well, Tzuyu helped them atleast.

Chaeyoung and Dahyun are in charge of something like make-jinyoung-go-to-the-building-plan. All they have to do is call Jinyoung on the phone and get some acting skills ready and in no time at all, there will be a Jinyoung dashing through the building’s main entrance.

Chaeyoung dialed Jinyoung’s number then gave the phone to Dahyun right after he answered the call.

“Jinyoung-ah!!”

“Oh?”, he answered in a sleepy tone.

“Tzuyu got an accident--she fell into the construction inside the building and she needs surgery right away!”, Dahyun shouted.

“What?? Where’s the manager? Why is no one helping her??”, he asked, seems like he’s awake now.

“Just go here, Jinyoung-ah!!!”, Dahyun shouted again, which made Chaeyoung almost burst laughing.

“Jinyoung-ah!!!”, Dahyun shouted again then immediately ended the call before laughing with Chaeyoung.

“He’s so funny! He might go here in his pajamas!”, Chaeyoung said, almost ran out of breath.

The managers and other producers and staff are already filling up the hall yet Jinyoung still hasn’t arrived yet so DubChaeng waited at the main entrance of the building with hidden cameras on site.

They still can’t contain their laughter but they stopped after they saw a car parking carelessly. They knew it was Jinyoung so they prepared their acting skills again.

The disappointment in their face became visible when they saw Jinyoung in his suit and not in his pajamas. Still, they managed to make him panic by putting a blindfold at his eyes. They brought the clueless Jinyoung inside the silent hall--almost silent though…

“Sana, turn off the lamp.”, Nayeon said trying to lower her voice but still can be heard by everyone.

“Okay okay…”

“Shh…”

“Sana? Nayeon? What’s this?”, Jinyoung uttered.

Dahyun took off his blindfold and then the colorful lights greeted Jinyoung. TWICE stood together then Jeongyeon launched the party popper with a smile.

“Happy Birthday, JYP!!”, they greeted in chorus.

JYP can’t contain his smile anymore and thanked them one by one. The party first begins with a breakfast that TWICE made earlier and last night.

“Jihyo...Aren’t these cookies odd?”, Nayeon whispered to Jihyo.

“No, it’s just panda.”, she answered then took a bite at the cookies that Nayeon was holding.

“It doesn’t look like panda at all...It’s looks like uhm--erotic? You should’ve made the black circle bolder, just look at it.”, Nayeon hesitantly said.

“What do you mean?”, Jihyo asked and clearly confused about what Nayeon is talking about.

“She said it looks like boobies.”, Jeongyeon said then they all burst into laughter.

After breakfast, the TWICE appeared while singing a happy birthday song in front of Jinyoung. Jihyo is the one who is carrying the cake, although she keeps on suppressing her laughter from something.

“...happy birthday to you~”, they ended the song then Jinyoung blew out the candles and it took a minute for him to notice what was written on the cake.
