Elliott’s 2019 races at Vegas would be very relaxing, and calm compared to years before and after. He would run inside the top 10 for a majority of the race, scored points in stage 2 and came home 4th for his 2nd career Las Vegas top 5. He also led his first 12 laps at Vegas.

Elliott Vs Vegas-[BC]Chase Elliott Always Runs Well At Vegas But He Always Gets Insanely Unlucky. Let’s Break Down His 8 Care

Started: 10th

Finished: 26th

Elliott’s 2020 Vegas races were the opposite of 2019. He started the race in 10th and would get to the lead by lap 67. He would end up winning both stages and had one of the best cars along with Kevin Harvick. After green flag pit stops with around 50 to go Elliott would spin because the valve stem of his tire was broken by his tire changer. He would finish 26th after having to pit for repairs. He would lead 70 laps.

Start 8 - September 27th, 2020

Started: 3rd

Finished: 22nd

Elliott would roll off 3rd for the opening race of the round of 12 at Vegas. He would be competitive early as he finished 4th in stage 1. Stage 2 would be even better for Elliott as he won stage 2. He stayed up front for most of the race. He would in 4th place in points, +31 on the cut line going into NASCAR Overtime. On the final restart he would restart 9th behind Ryan Newman. Newman would have a terrible restart and would block Elliott after he tried to go to the outside to get around him. Newman would continue backing Elliott up until the checkered flag when Chase would finish 22nd. He ended the race +10 on the cutoff.

Chase Elliott should be looked at as one of the best drivers at Las Vegas. However he always seems to get unlucky when running well and his average finish at Vegas (21.5) is the 2nd worse for Elliott, only behind Daytona. Will Elliott have a good race at Vegas tomorrow? It seems like a matter of time until he wins at Vegas but if he continues to get unlucky he may struggle to get the win.
