“Hey, you two!” Kirishima called out, waving with Bakugou, trailing not too far behind.

You give an acknowledged head nod while Kaminari goes all out with waving. The two boys walk closer to them until all four are huddled in a little group. There’s an awkward silence amongst the group before you clear your throat to speak. “So Bakugou, can you tell us what you know?” You ask, trying to get the discussion rolling.

“Hah? Yeah, sure.” He shifts his weight before beginning.

Everyone in the group listens intently, absorbing as much information as possible. It’s a cool dark night and the stars are shining bright, not yet hidden by the clouds of tomorrow. Lamp posts give off dull light, just barely enough to see. Those that are out and about walk quickly in fear of the dangers that night brings. Bakugou quickly concludes his information spout and you look around nervously. Anybody could have listened in on you but it’s unlikely. Your hands fall to the bag by your side, fumbling with the latch. You open the bag and show the small group all the tapes. “We need to listen to these.”

“Then I guess we gotta go somewhere safer, eh?” Bakugou suggests. “Follow me.”

He turns and starts walking towards a parking lot and opens the enger door to a black car. Climbing in he stares at you, Kaminari, and Kirishima with a blank face. “Are you gonna fucking get in or what?” He snaps.

You quickly make your way to the drivers side and clamber inside, placing the bag in your lap as the last two climb inside. You turn around and face the two in the back. “Are you ready, kids? I don't know what's in here.” You say, popping the first tape into the player.

Interrogation tapes

You sit in silence as you listen to the tapes, making mental notes of important things. When the last tape stops playing you take it out of the player and put it back in your bag. A heavy feeling sits in the car, a realization that this is something that is actually happening and not just a game. Bakugou breaks the silence by holding the keys in his open palm. “We gonna fucking go or what?”
