Your detective instinct tells you to follow the GPS and so you do. Carrying a kid on your back through the city has never been on your bucket list and for a reason. Odd looks were thrown at you as you walked through the streets. Every so often you would look around, making sure that nobody was following you. Luckily nobody ever was but it still stirred something inside you that made you extremely wary of everyone and everything. As you walked your mind floated back to what had just happened. Kaminari had sacrificed himself to keep you safe from the pursuers but your main concern was why they were hunting you down in the first place. You were just a regular detective, what could you possibly have to with any of this? Was it because of your involvement with the case? More importantly, why were the students involved? Questions circled your head but you brushed them off for the time being. Surely, you assumed all of your questions will be answered once you get to the pier. “How are you doing back there, kid?” You asked, needing reassurance that he was okay.
“Wheeyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy~”
“Alright.”
Sighing, you turned down a street filled with vendors and you felt heads turn and eyes glue to you with wonder. Deciding that it's better to avoid drawing attention to yourself, you turn around and go back the way you came. With the added detour to avoid attention, it took you longer than you wanted to get to your destination. When you looked up from the GPS you realized that you were at the pier. A now conscious Kaminari tapped your shoulder, telling you to let him down. “That is for carrying me! You're pretty strong for an old man, eh?” Kaminari laughed, giving you a playful nudge.
“Shut it, kid. You're going to be the reason my back is killing me tonight.” You grumble in response, twisting your body and g in relief at the popping noises.
You and Kaminari begin walking towards the pier when Kaminari stops you dead in your tracks. You look at him with a weird and scrunched up face before noticing what was happening.
“Hey you two!” Kirishima called out, waving with Bakugou trailing not far behind.
