Hello everyone, it’s Glory, and welcome to my first F&F blog of 2021!
In this post I will be discussing my favorite songs and albums of this month. They will not necessarily be from January 2021; they are just songs and albums I listened to the most during this month.
After the favorites I’ll tell you about the flops. These will be the songs that came out this month but weren’t really my cup of tea.

I Don’t Miss U
woo!ah!
This song is so much fun!!! Never fails to put a smile on my face. The chorus is addicting, honestly my ideal type of chorus. The previous two singles woo!ah! released haven’t been bad, but they lack the energy that makes this one stand out.
Pretty Savage
Blackpink
I really did not like this song when it came out last year, but early this month, something came over me and I gave it another chance... and I love it now? Not sure what changed, but yeah it’s pretty fire. The piano/purr intro is iconic, the prechorus vocals are really pretty, and the drop actually works.
My Treasure
Treasure
This song is just straight up adorable. Everything about this era is soft. It’s what I wanted I Love You to be, no tea no shade (okay maybe a little).
I also listened to Going Crazy A LOT now that it’s on streaming services, but I don’t think I need to go into that song because if you haven’t heard it by now... what are you doing?
Celebrity
IU
The queen, the goddess, the legend IU is finally back! Her voice sounds especially pretty in this song. The drop is a little strange but overall I think it fits, and after a few listens I got used to it. Can’t wait for the album...
so this is love
Day6 (Even of Day)
I miss Day6 :sob:
Honorable Mentions
AKA songs that I like but didn’t listen to as much as the others, or that came out at the end of the month
Not Over by MCND
Burn It by Golden Child
Odd Eye by Dreamcatcher
New Days by Dreamcatcher
No Diggity by Oneus
Good Girl by HyunA
~Albums~
Voice : The Future Is Now
Victon
I already did a whole comeback review, in which I talk about every song on this album, so I won’t repeat that. All I’ll say is appreciate Up to You
I burn
(G)I-DLE
This might be (G)I-DLE’s best mini album, at least for me. I love the eerie tone that’s present throughout every song. My favorite songs are Moon, Hwaa, and Alone in winter.
Hideout: Be Our Voice - Season 3.
Cravity
I thoroughly enjoyed *almost* every song on this album. My favorites are Call My Name, Moonlight, and Dangerous. I think one fault of this album is the heavy reliance on the rap line. Bad Habits is the worst offender, although I do like that song to a point. I love Cravity’s rap line, and they definitely have their place in their music, but I think the many unique tones of their vocal line is what makes them really special. As for the songs I haven’t mentioned yet, Give Me Your Love is really pretty, and Mammoth should have been the title track in my opinion. We’ll discuss the actual title track shortly.
Cherry Rush
Cherry Bullet
It took Cherry Bullet way too long to put out a mini album, but I don’t really care anymore because this is a masterpiece. No flops, no skips. Of course Love So Sweet is a bop, but I hope the other songs get recognition as well. Follow Me is my favorite side track. It’s just the right amount of quirky, it makes me feel like I’m at a carnival, and it’s incredibly catchy. 10/10 mini album, good job Cherry Bullet.

Asurabalbalta
T1419
I really hoped I typed that title correctly.
This chorus... ugh. Just ugh. I try to give instrumental drops a chance now, but this one was annoying. Also, they all look like babies and didn’t fit the concept in my opinion. It was like Treasure with MMM, except worse. This one was a , but since it was just their debut, I’ll keep an eye out for them in the future.
My Turn
Cravity
I debated just adding one line about this song with the album’s section, but I had way more to say about it. Overall, I do like this song, so don’t attack me. The verses are actually really great, and the second part of the chorus (“my turn~”) shows off their gorgeous vocals nicely. So it’s not a true flop, but like I said, I want to discuss this. My main problem is that the first part of the chorus brings the song to a dead stop, which is exactly the opposite of what a chorus is supposed to do (IMO). There was so much good momentum in the prechorus, but instead of capitalizing on it, it’s brought to a screeching halt while the boys shout some cringey, bad boy lines. It was too loud to be an anti-drop, but too anti-climactic to be a good regular drop. And then we get to the pretty “my turn” part and the song continues like nothing ever happened? I am... confused, to say the least. It’s not terrible, but it’s their worst so far. But stream the album!
