the opening of applications for

curators, prefects, chat s

and challenge makers! quite the

deal huh?

keep reading to know what these

positions entail and whether you

may be exactly the person we are

looking for.

𝗪𝗛𝗢 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗨𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗦 ?

curators are an essential backbone

of the community. they moderate

the community just like leaders do

they feature posts, disable off topic

blogs, delete inappropriate

comments, help create major ideas

and events for the community, and

so much more !

being a curator is a big role, and we

want to make sure the very best are

picked! so, we’ll have a list of general

requirements, and then an application

for you to fill out!

𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦

⤷ we ask that you have been

active in the community for a

minimum of two months.

⤷ we ask that you are also

fairly active in the community.

we will check to see if you have

any blogs or other posts, and in

the application we ask that for

your weekly minutes.

⤷ we ask that you are ideally

at least the age 16, but as an

and guiding them through their first

days in the community.

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦 𝗔 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗗𝗢 ?

the job of the prefect is to act as the

first friendly face that each new member

ing hpa meets.

they are reliable, well-informed and an

ideal place for new to find out

more and get accurate answers to any

questions they might have.

𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦

⤷ send welcome messages on new

member’s walls.

⤷ keep up with any replies and strike

up conversations while answering

questions.

⤷ look after the welcome chat as

hosts.

⤷ report suspicious s, including

potential bot activity spotted on the

new tab.

⤷ keep up to date with HPA events and

guidelines

being a prefect is not a particularly

demanding role and lots of prefects

find it fits in nicely around all their

other activities on amino.

we do look for prefects who can

commit a little bit of their time (it

can be just five minutes a day!) on

a regular basis to ensure that all

new receive a swift

greeting.

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗦 ?

when thinking of what chat mods

are, you can think of them as a

linking element between s

and chat hosts. they help us in making

chat moderation as simple and fair as

we can.

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦 𝗔 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗠𝗢𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗥 𝗗𝗢 ?

as a chat mod, your task will be to keep

an eye on the numerous public chats of

the community.

we know the frustrations of chats

having to be disabled because of

reoccurring drama and other

inconveniences, which is why chat

mods aim for the prevention of

this measure.

under the leadership of Rio,

chat mods will be a point of

for the ’ chats as well as for

the staff team. they can give advice

to the chats assigned to them and

can try to de-escalate heated

discussions.

aside from that, chat mods are

essentially also tasked with looking

out for problematic content and profiles.

they help by flagging inappropriate

messages and directing screenshots

of guideline breaking incidents to the

staff team. In this sense their task also

consists of identifying that

cause disruptions across multiple

chats.

𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦

⤷ we do not expect you to spend all

your free time going after this task,

however, as a chat mod you are

expected to be fairly active and

engaged within the community.

⤷ additionally, you should have

experience with running a public

chat or moderating public chats in

another way.

⤷ we recommend applicants have

experience running at least one

public chat in this community.

⤷ we’ll also be checking the individual

moderation history for the applicants

we consider for the role so if you have

been given any warnings or strikes

related to chat conduct, it might be

worth addressing them and/or change

you’ve made since then in your

application.

as a challenge maker you will

the team’s rota to take turns and

create fun challenges for our

community to engage in.

please note that this position does

not come with any moderational

authority or tools, however, you will

obtain an official challenge maker

title.

𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦 𝗔 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗡𝗚𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘𝗥 𝗗𝗢 ?

the challenges you create will be

considered official, just like any

mod-run event. They will be

broadcasted and featured on the

featured page for everyone to

participate in.

challenges will now follow the

same schedule as debates so

you'll also be tasked with making

engaging debates for the community

to participate in. therefore

we are looking for new creative minds

to this team.

𝗥𝗘𝗤𝗨𝗜𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦

⤷ as part of the challenge maker team

you would be part of the department

of events, a special part of our team

that interlinks with the moderation

team to coordinate all sorts of

community events.

⤷ If you aspire to apply for a curator

position in the future, having gained

experience as a challenge maker

before can be beneficial for you to

see whether you are personally fit

for tasks like that.

⤷ it is a pretty large commitment, not

only will we ask for your enthusiasm

for making challenges and harry

potter, but you will also need to

somewhat be familiar with the

blogging tool.

⤷ we ask our challenge makers to

post 1-2 every two months, obviously

depending on the amount of

challenge makers and willing

s we have.

you can apply for all the roles if you

want, but keep this in mind that you'll

be picked for only one based on how

you write your application and your

overall standing in the community.
