Tears. Crying is something we have all done. Regardless of how often or how long ago it has been, what remains the same is that it does happen. And no matter how you view it, tears in and of themselves are not something to look down upon.

Joy or sorrow or even surprise or gratitude can create them. Yet it seems the most common emotion following tears is shame for some reason. Yet again, as an emotional response, it is seen as one of the most powerful, if not the most compelling, of emotions we can see.

So what does it inspire in others around us, when we show our most powerful emotions? It can create a wide variety of individual responses, almost always based on their relationship with the one crying and the circumstances surrounding it, but fear, frustration, joy, comion and guilt are most common. It is funny to see how positive and negative emotions also compliment not only how the one with tears feels, but also the observer.

So why do we tend to treat tears as this immensely shameful act? Something worth hiding from others? My only explanation that comes to mind is that it shows a vulnerability and we wish to hide it. But how often does our crying reveal some exploitable weakness? I don't think it happens often, which brings me to my next point.

Instead of these negative emotions, why don't we simply feel more proactive and positive in response to tears? I'm not saying we should cry without any shame at all, because that is an equally normal reaction as tears themselves, but we should treat others with sympathy, whether it be by offering to help or simply giving them space.

, there's nothing unnatural or abnormal about crying. It's a normal emotional response we all feel, man or woman, non-binary, depressed or unshakable. It's all about frequency. So tune in to others and yourself and have comion and try to see things unclouded, no matter how much the tears may try and blind our vision.

And as always, have a great day, everyone.
