Hello everybody my name is Golazo and today I’ll just be writing a short blog about my thoughts at the moment.

Veracruz

It’s safe to say that Veracruz has simply been bad. We haven’t been playing horrible, an upgrade from last season I would say despite the lack of points. We’ve fought hard in every game and have managed to come up with a measly 3 points but they were very hard earned points.

Sebastian Jurado has proved himself in the Liga MX and has been the only thing keeping Veracruz from losing every game. He’s been impenetrable between the sticks and one of Veracruz’s brightest prospects in years. I knew who this kid was long before he got promoted to the senior squad because of Soccer Manager.

On Soccer Manager though he was always poorly rated as they had him as a 44 rated. I used him a bit and he had his games but never would I have ever thought he would perform like he is now in real life. I’m really proud of the youngin.

Some believe in a few years time he’ll be Mexico’s starting keeper. A bold assumption but honestly not so much a crazy one if he continues his impressive run of form. Seeing as he’s getting a lot of traction and Veracruz is down right awful he will probably find a move to a better club which is sad but I hope he develops into an astonishing keeper.

Here are some of his best saves this season, pretty impressive stuff.

Crystal Palace

But while on one hand Veracruz has me disappointed and wanting more, Palace is doing great. We haven’t lost in 6 straight games and Zaha has scored in 3 games straight nabbing 4 goals. 2 against Leicester as well, really great from Zaha.

Not only has Zaha been showing up but so has Michy. He came in on loan not too long ago and already has a goal and an assist in 2 games. Hopefully he continues this and makes himself a danger to United’s defense.

We all know about Townsend’s and Milivojevic’s impressive form as well. Fantastic from both lads and great to be seeing long time fan favorites proving themselves out on the pitch. Now as for the game in 3 days I hope we can pull out a result.

Sure it’ll be tough against an in form Pogba and United as a whole but let’s be real has United really faced anyone super tough since Ole took over? I mean yeah they beat Tottenham but that’s Tottenham.

Their win against Arsenal was solid but when they faced actual good opponents in PSG and Liverpool they struggled to get on the scoresheet. An in form Palace is not to be underestimated as we’ve seen what they’ve done in the past. I’m predicting a tight game in which we may be able to get a result, hopefully that happens.

Real Madrid

As for Real Madrid it’s been a slightly disappointing season but it hasn’t been all bad. Losing to teams like Girona definitely has not been fun and struggling against Ajax is not what I want to see either.

But that’s the thing about Real, I feel like we just play really bad against small teams we should be beating easily. No offense to Ajax I like them as a team and they’re solid but they’re also no Real Madrid.

Without VAR that game would’ve been a draw but a loss isn’t going to stop them. Ajax have shown they can compete and are hungry for victory. If Real doesn’t keep their guard up in the second leg we could definitely see an Ajax triumph.

As for the call removing one of Ajax’s goals, it was completely the right call, according to the rule book. I feel like people made it a controversy because VAR was supposed to be the downfall of Real.

People saw that Real actually capitalized from VAR and now everyone is mad. People just love hating on Madrid in my opinion because if it was any other team no one would be saying anything. But those are just my thoughts on the matter.

School & Getting Demoted

Now I’ve been very busy with school seeing as I’m in more advanced glasses for my age group and the homework gets hefty. As I’m typing this I have like 4 things due tomorrow that I haven’t done.

Seeing as school has taken up much of my time I haven’t had much free time and when I do I usually spend it doing other things like hanging out with friends or playing PS4 with them.

Taking this into my activity has plummeted and I got demoted. Some people think it’s bullshit but I believe it was the right call. It’s not like I just got demoted out of the blue as well.

Thanks to Pure for actually giving me a warning prior to demoting me. I think this was a good move and he gave me time for me to get myself in order. I didn’t and I got demoted which is completely fair.

I was actually going to step down as well but when I came on I was already demoted so yeah. I’m glad to have served this community for such a long time and I hope I left an impact on the community.

So what’s happening in the future for me?

Well I actually hope to be writing more blogs like these weekly, maybe every Saturday or Sunday just letting my thoughts go as it’s a nice refresher and it gets me on the app again.

I don’t think I’m going to push for a spot on the curation team at the moment or maybe ever again. I had my time and did what I could with it, I had my ups and my downs but overall it was a successful spell I would say.

Will I be leaving the app soon? Probably not maybe after I finish high school but for now I’m here to stay. I’m 15 and don’t have much to do but play video games and homework so this app is a nice way of spending my time as it also helps with my writing.

Come summer I’ll try to be more active unless I go to Texas again and hang with my family there. If I go to Texas I’m going to try and catch a Dynamo game and blog it. Would be a great experience I think.

I’m also doing great things currently. I’m hitting the gym everyday, I play football with friends every Tuesday and Thursday, I met this cute girl that I’ll hopefully get comfortable with, and I’m learning how to drive. I’m currently finding it difficult to find a suitable job but that’s also a plan of mine in the near future.
