Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2 Film Review

As the saying goes all good things must eventually come to and end and in 2011 the Harry Potter saga as it pertains to the films did exactly that they came to an end. With the film that i'm going to be reviewing for you all today being the final Harry Potter film as while yes the Wizarding World as a franchise did indeed continue onward with the Fantastic Beasts films those film rather happily came to an end after just three films and didn't have the same impact as the Harry Potter films still continue to do and so then me as I review the film that made the world "always" alot more emotional in the eyes of the people who deeply love the Harry Potter franchise with the film in question being called simply just "Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 2" enjoy.

The plot of this film is Harry , Hermione and Ron continue there task of trying to find and destroy all of the Horcruxes a task which leads them right into a head on collision with Lord Voldemort and his death eaters. Now then in of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us un this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty excellent as it not only did a good job of wrapping up the series long story of Harry and Voldemort trying to defeat each other in a way that felt natural and organic to the characters but it was also just a good plot in it's own right with this films plot feeling more like the plot to a war film where the main characters just so happened to be witches and wizards and because of that the films plot does oddly have a more realistic tone to it something that does come into play during several points in the film and it's that added realism in the plot that not only makes the more exciting also more exciting to watch but it also makes the more emotional scenes alot more emotional as well with the plot of both this film and the previous film really benefitted from the fact that it was a two part film as that then meant that the story as a whole could be allowed to breathe more and be more true to the books then what the previous films couldn't be with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then in of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film weas in all honesty really good. Which is nothing really all that new from thee films as these films are not only known for having some really good acting in them but for also having alot of the best actors actors not only in Britain but also in Hollywood as a whole starring in them and so of course you are going to get some really good acting in them as all of this films actors are a bunch of really good actors in there own right and with pretty much all of them either reprising their roles from the previous few films or having been in them from the very beginning it means that they all will know what kind of performance would best suit there respective characters as well and that's that kind of knowledge and foresight into how the characters work and think that really does make the acting just so good to watch on the screen and in this film as well as it's really something that you can't really teach in acting classes and only comes when you've been playing the same character for as long as alot of this films actors really have been doing with this films acting really being helped by the fact that the script for this film is just so good that all this films actors really have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance really will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

Doing the CGI for this film is Cinesite , Double Negative , Moving Picture Company , Framestore , Baseblack , Rising Sun Pictures , Tippett Studio , Lola Visual Effects , Gradient Effects and Union Visual Effects. Now then in of what I personally thought / felt about the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual CGI that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty fantastic as while yes it was super easy to tell what was done practically and what was done in a computer alot of the time but when it's done right the two mediums do blend together really well to create some really good looking effects and that's what we got in this film with all of this films effects for most part looking really good as some of the flying shots during the courtyard apocalypse scene didn't look good then and don't look good now with the same thing also being true for the flying scene where Harry , Ron and Hermione save Draco and a new friend from being killed of in The Room Of Requirement not that they look bad because they don't when you have alot of really good looking effects like the giants or the stone statues all of which have aged like fine whine then these flying shots do come of as looking really bad because of it which is understandable as not every effect can look good in any film but when the rest of the films are so good then it makes those that don't stand out like a sore thumb because of how good the rest of this films visual effects really are.

As was mentioned this is the film that made the people that love this franchise cry like a baby every single time they heard the word always. As those people knew that that word meant that Severus Snape someone who we the audience had been on the fence about since the first film finally got told just what side he was on and what he was really like as a person and because of that that one little throwaway word had so much more meaning behind it then what it really had any right to as it turns out that Severus not only loved Lily when he was kid and at school with her but openly sort help to get them protection and hidden when Lord Voldemort was first on the raise something that could have gotten him killed and it was all because of the fact that he still loved her and he still loved her even decades after she had died and was still willing to do what was right by her because of how deeply that he loved her and it's that kind of development from a character that you don't really see any more as alot of them either just spell it out for you right at the very end or have the development come out of left field where as here with this franchise it was always there and it was always there because of the fact that J.K. Rowling herself told Alan Rickman right when the first film was being made as she thought that it would better help his performance and because of that the films now have an extra rewatch ability to them as now we the audience can go back and look at those earlier scenes and wonder what Snape was thinking for now and for always.

Unlike pretty much all of the previous Harry Potter films this one and the previous film are perhaps the most truest to the books the this film series has ever been. As during the other films the idea was to always show us what Harry is seeing and because of that alot of the stuff from the books did cut out of the film however because of the fact that the book that this and the previous film are based off is all told from Harry's point of view that kind of thinking wouldn't work and so they really couldn't cut out all that much and as a result of that is the fact that while yes some things from the first half of the book are cut out and somethings that appear in this film are changed from the book both this film and the previous film is relatively true to the book with alot of that also coming down to the fact that this is Part 2 of a two part film adaptation which was really the only way that you could tell this story as there's no way that you could tell the story from the book which is close to approximately eight hundred pages long in one movie without seriously butchering up the story and thankfully the makers of this film sore sense and chose to make it a two part film and while yes granted part one does fall into the same trappings that all part one of a two part film falls into in that it's basically an extended feature length trailer for the second film but here in this film tho because alot of the stuff really was so well set up in that movie you can kind of forgive it and still have some serious fun with both movies and still get the same level of enjoyment from both of these films as doing this story as a two part film was the only way to do the story really any kind of justice whatsoever.

With this film being the final film in the Harry Potter franchise that does mean that alot of the characters do end up getting killed. While alot of them did get some time to showcase just what it was that made there respective character so popular in the first place alot of them like Tonks barely got a line of dia this film and yet the makers of this film still expect us to have the same reaction to seeing her death in this film and yet that just can't happen due to the fact that alot of the scenes from the book that didn't make it into the film involved her character and while yes it could be argued that due to the fact that she got some screen time in the previous then she doesn't really need it in this film if you want to make the audience really hurt that there favorite character has just ed away then remind them of why they liked that character in the first place the death of George isn't really effected by this because of the fact that he was in every single film and so we got the chance to see his character alongside his brother Fred and so while it would have been nice to have seen his death just so that we the audience could have seen just how good of a fighter that he might have been his death still works because of the fact that we've spent the past ten years getting to know him as a character where as the deaths of both Tonks and Lavender despite them being really heart wrenching moments in there right don't work because of the fact that we hadn't had alot of time to really get to know there respective characters and as a result of that is the fact that we don't really feel anything when they die this is despite the fact that showing them dead is meant to mean that anyone including the main characters can now be killed of.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly two hours and ten minuets and twenty six seconds. Which is the absolutely perfect running time for this film to have as this film does have so many characters story arcs to wrap up and to do all of that and still tell a good story in just under two hours would have been seen as being a disservice to the characters with this really being helped by the fact that this film really does have the absolutely right amount of plot there to really cover that amount of running time and while the fact that this film not using it's running time all that wisely would be seen as being a negative thing in other movies here because of the fact that it is the second part of a two part film and the fact that we've had several other films with these characters it's not really something that's a bad thing as while yes granted characters like Aberforth for example aren't given alot of screen time to fully flesh out there characters you could then make the point that it's only like that because of the fact that Harry , Hermione and Ron are in a hurry and therefor don't want or even need to spending time with someone that they've literally just met and as a result of that is the fact that it does come across as being logical that we don't get to find out all that much about Aberforth and what his life was like with Albus growing u was like but at the same time tho if the makers of this film really wanted all of the characters deaths to really hit home then they should have spent some time giving those characters a proper send off before then killing them off but I really will it that that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. With the best action scene in this whole entire being the entire Battle Of Hogwarts including The Courtyard Apocalypse scene as for years now we had been told that Hogwarts was a safe place for us all to go to and yet even tho The Half Blood Prince ended with that now longer being the case we now get to see this once safe heaven get turned to rubble basically which does add a layer of sadness to the whole thing as Hogwarts was not only the home to those that both studied and worked there but it was our home as well and to see this massive battle to determine the fate of the wizarding world take place there not only feels right but it's also both sad and exciting as well with this bein helped by the fact that we do get to see some really cool and exciting moments happen during that whole sequence and the fact that we get to see Harry , Ron and Hermione struggle just to make it to the front gate does add an element of danger to it all as well and if tho this film action does boil down to people just pointing sticks at each other it's done in such a way that you can't help but be excited because of the fact that you never really know just what exactly is going to happen next in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is not only one of if not the best film in the whole Harry Potter franchise it's also a really great film to end this franchise on as well and even tho The Wizarding World franchise did continue onward for three more films this story and this chapter of this story came to an end with a truly fantastic film as this film really is just that good of a film in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly an 8.5 out of 10 from me.
