I watched the small crack in my windshield more than double in length this morning. I wanted to ask if any of y’all have found something that works for preventing them from becoming any worse. I’ve been told clear nail polish helps but I haven’t tried it.

Def get that fixed as soon as you can, otherwise it will keep growing and get more and more expensive.
If the crack is shorter than the length of a dollar Bill, they can fix it. Any longer than a Bill and unfortunately you’re out of luck. Don’t ask me how I know this. Lol
If you don't wanna pay the $200 for a new glass I think they do spot repair for $40ish. Just head over and have them fill it with the epoxy resin and call it a day
Thanks Ill look into spot repair. If it’s that cheap I’ll go for it but I don’t have an inspection to so I’m just going to live with the crack if there’s not a cheap way out

The other option is junk yard. Can't hurt to redo the seals and I think used glass is relatively cheap. More of a pain to transport than anything

I never thought about that but transport would be a bitch
It was relatively cold out and I was running heat/defroster. Went around a corner and it doubled almost instantly. I guess the temperature difference and the car flexing contributed to that but idk.
