Garage Update

What's up Garage Amino!? Long time no see... AGAIN

It's been another 9 months or so since I've posted & a lot has changed, so I figured it was time for another Garage update!

First up, my wife purchased a fully loaded 2006 Nissan Maxima SL back in 2021.

It was a beautiful car with only 106k miles when she purchased it. Unfortunately, after about 2 years of ownership, the transmission started to cause her troubles (typical Nissan 5spd of that era). She replaced it with a 2015 Toyota Corolla S in 2023, which has been nothing but good to her!

I went back to school in 2021 to complete my bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology. During that time, I purchased a 2000 Infiniti i30t to be my daily driver as the Supercharged Maxima proved not to be the best daily for city driving.

The Infiniti served me well for 2.5 years while in school but started to have electrical issues and died on me the day I was driving back home after graduating (go figure :joy: ). I was back to dailying the Supercharged Maxima but knew that wasn't a long-term solution.

I shopped around for a little while and ended up purchasing a 2018 Toyota RAV4 XLE with 59k miles in June of 2024 & it has been awesome for me!

I've done small things like replacing the headlights with black housings and replaced the bulbs with LED's and threw some yellow LED foglights in. My wife also got me crossbars for the roof rack so we can eventually put the kayaks up there this summer & potentially get a rooftop tent!

And of course, I still own my 2001 Supercharged Nissan Maxima! This car will be in my collection forever. Not only was it my first car, but it was my Grandma's car before mine. While she's no longer with us, this car never fails to make me feel like there's a little piece of her still here.

When I started posting on this app, I never knew that I'd get to own this variety of cars & have loved all of them! I'm looking forward to continuing posting here more frequently again in hopes to document my projects and share them.
