A Poem about Pie

i wrote some free verse last night

and i found this picture of pie

this is the result

there are so many people on this app

and my goal is to love you all

and be a servant to you all.

but I fall short

i am not perfect

i misspeak

i mistype

i forget to ping you back

i hide the wrong thing

my status fails to change.

curator sins i have committed.

for that

I am sorry.

I ask your forgiveness if i have done you wrong

i am always open to talk and discuss.

i give you this picture of pie as a peace offering.

all under the same banner

there are the wealthy

there are the poor

there are the young

there are the old

there are the artists

there are the fans

there are those that walk one path

there are those that walk another

we are human

we are every animal under the sun

we are shy

we are fierce

we are strong

we are easily hurt

we are an us

we are a them

we are reviled

we are celebrated

in the end

none of that matters.

i love this tribe

i love all the tribes i sign up for

but.

i will always have concerns

that...
