Jimmy Answers - Episode One

Hey peeps, it's Jimmy with the first episode of Jimmy Answers. If you don't know what this is, it's basically a Q&A series that I'm doing where I answer your questions, whether it's about Jimmy or other DC related stuff, and yes, funny questions are allowed. I have a lot of questions to answer so let's get started (I'm answering them in no particular order).

1.

This a great question. Both cases have their own pros and cons, and both have interesting storylines they can tell. I think I prefer him to know Supes secret identity. In Countdown to Final Crisis, Jimmy reveals to Clark that he knew that Clark was Superman the whole time, and he was just lying to Clark the whole time. This had serious implications at the time, but I think they could do something similar in DC Gen 5. So overall, I prefer him to know about Clark's secret identity.

2.

This is a pretty interesting question. His first love interest was Lucy Lane, aka Kara aka Supergirl. The two of them were in love with each other in the pre Crisis universe, and they actually got married. But this was ruined whenever DC rebooted the universe. Now Kara and Jimmy are just off and on. It's very complicated nowadays. :sweat_smile:

Kara spent all my money on knitting supplies, so looks like we won't be drinking tonight. :pensive:

Unfortunately no, but the Olsen's and the Luthor's have had a rivalry in the early 1900s. But Lex does have a nightmare one day where he's swapped minds with Jimmy and is laughed at by everyone around him.

5.

Really depends on the situation. Different cameras are great for different types of photography, (there's 17 different types of photography and Jimmy's camera is never specified). For someone who is wanting to begin with photography, I recommend the Canon EOS 4000D / Rebel T100 DSLR Camera W/Canon EF-S 18-55 mm F/3.5-5.6 III Zoom Lens + a carrying case + 32 GB SD Card. I can imagine Jimmy using it, as it's great for most situations. Plus it's currently on sale so it's a pretty good deal right now. But most Canon cameras should do the trick.

And no, I'm not sponsored by Canon, although I wish I was. Canon, call me and maybe we can work something out. :eyes: :joy:

6.

Jimmy doesn't watch sports, but if I had to choose one I'd pick either Baseball or Soccer/Football.

Never stated, though it's probably Mountain Dew or some Superman branded soda.

She owns her own news agency, though she got caught up in her work when Jimmy was younger so they're not close because of that.

7.

If I could change one thing, it would have to be to make him not so serious. Jimmy is supposed to be a funny guy, but none of his jokes made me laugh and I think if the show took him not as serious, then he could be a decent Jimmy.

That's not to bash the actor or anything, I'm sure he's just trying to do his best with what they gave him.

Also, they could've made him into his alter ego Mr. Action, instead of the Guardian.

I think it's because he's the DC character that I relate the most to, specifically his New Earth version. My dad was in the military so I never really got close to him, just like Jimmy and his dad. We both try our best to cheer up the people around us, even when it's a tough situation. I think it's more of a comfort thing for the both of us, we both feel comfortable when we're telling jokes. I also love photography, though I don't have a big fancy camera like Jimmy does.

Kara, obviously. Jk jk. It's obviously Lois, especially since they've been friends for so long and have almost died together on multiple occasions.

Ooo, tough question. Zach does have that stubble chin look going on, but Ruin does have a nice costume, and Rice does have nice abs 🤔. But I think most of us can it that it's Lois. :joy:
