The home of Kodaka himself, this week, we’re giving some love to the country that brings us our beloved Danganronpa: Japan!
Japan is much more than anime and video games! Full of rich culture, fashion, and beautiful sites, this coastal country is the forerunner of technology and has made most, if not all, of our home electronics. With its overly complex writing systems and fascination with outdated American actors, it's pretty common to love Japan’s wacky culture even if you’ve never visited.
Grab your calligraphy pens and slip on that yukata, because it’s time for Japan prompt!

︱suggestions︱
We’re close to 100. Let’s make this prompt :100: with some suggestions!
:mount_fuji: :mount_fuji: :mount_fuji: :mount_fuji: :mount_fuji:
𝓕𝓪𝓷𝓯𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓸𝓷
› Imagine Danganronpa set during a feudal time, such as the Edo period! Explore the ways that an elite school would function before schooling was universally required for all children.
› Dozens travel to Japan during spring to catch a glimpse of the famous cherry blossom trees that cover the country. Write a short story or poem about Sonia’s first experience with the pretty pink flowers!
› The Yakuza, the Japanese mob, functions unlike any other mafia in the world. Write a story about this unique structure, including our favorite Yakuza kids: Fuyuhiko, Peko, and Natsumi!
𝓑𝓵𝓸𝓰𝓰𝓲𝓷𝓰
› Going back to feudal Japan, how would talents be altered to fit the time? Would Chihiro be a clock-worker? What would Miu invent?
› Nearly every character from Danganronpa is Japanese. How do they showcase their nation’s identity? Is it their speech, or perhaps their interests? Dive into a few of your favorite characters and talk about what makes them uniquely Japanese!
› Doujins and events like Kamiket are pretty specific to Japan and the anime community. Take a dive into the convention life of Japan, with an analysis of Tsumugi and Hifumi!
𝓐𝓻𝓽
› Alright, it wouldn’t be a Japan prompt without some art of the Ultimate Traditional Dancer: Hiyoko. Incorporate flower blossoms and fans into a colorful piece showcasing our favorite kimono wearing tsundere.
› JRPG time! Draw your favorite character in a typical JPRG get up. These can range from more traditional wear, such as the wardrobe in Fire Emblem, or the chunky and zipper-heavy art style that Kingdom Hearts and most Final Fantasies incorporate!
› Utilize traditional Japanese mediums for your works of art. These include ink, origami, woodblocking, and silk printing! With a heavy focus on negative space and blue ink, what can you create with less common media?
A great example is Josetu’s “Catching a Catfish with a Gourd,” arguably my favorite painting.
𝓔𝓭𝓲𝓽𝓼
› Time to bust out those calligraphy fonts! Focus on bamboo brush overlays and incorporate a rice-paper look to create some one of a kind Japanese edits.
› Japan’s flag is pretty simple, being a single red dot on a white background. Focus on that simplicity and color scheme to create a flag inspired edit set!
› One thing I personally love to do with edits is use real photos of places. This is the perfect time to bust out those pictures of rainy Kyoto or the famous Nagasaki arch!
𝓒𝓸𝓼𝓹𝓵𝓪𝔂
› No matter who you’re cosplaying, now is the perfect time to slap on that yukata I know most of you weebs have! Don’t have a yukata? Hunt around for some paper parasols or folding fans!
› Idol groups are very east Asian! Cosplay Sayaka in her idol garb, or cross-over cosplay with Love Live!, Bandori, or Idolm@ster uniforms! Don’t have any of those? Go for the casual seifuku, the popular Japanese school sailor suit!
› Show off those Neo-Aikido skills in a Tenko cosplay! Focus on showcasing modern aikido kicks and throws, either in her school uniform or a gi, with or without geta (Japanese sandals)!

︱rewards︱
As per WP policy, you’ll be rewarded for completing all four prompts (93-96) this month. You will receive the temporary title of “WP Winner,” a shout-out in the first prompt of the next month, and 25 coins. To be eligible, you must have completed all the prompts within the time frame, and have them posted by June 4th, 11:59pm GMT.
However, for each group of weekly prompts, we have a grand-rewards winner that is picked out by the mods and SC. For the month of May, this member will receive a profile feature, a feature of one of their prompt posts, a temporary custom title, and a whopping 1000 coins, courteous of the Student Council!
In addition, you can earn a permanent custom title by completing four consecutive months of WPs. To check your streak, please refer to this spreadsheet managed by Ash and Cronssi, or keep track of it yourself! It’ll be your responsibility to reach out to a mod for your title when the time comes. All general winners are also responsible for PM’ing a mod themselves for their rewards.

FAQ’S
Q. I haven’t finished last week’s prompt yet! Can I still do it?
A. Yep! As long as you complete it within the month you’re still eligible to win! These prompts are also just for inspiration so if you haven’t come up with anything this week, but come up with a great idea the next, feel free to post it!
Q. If I’ve won before can I win again?
A. Of course! As long as you complete all the prompts for the month, you’re eligible to win no matter if you’ve participated in the past or not!
Q. Do I really lose my title if I don’t finish this month’s prompts too?
A. Sadly, yes. Our goal is to award who are diligent and make a post for each prompt. We understand being busy and we’re very sorry if you can’t make it, however, there is always next month!
Q. Do I have to follow one of the prompts above?
A. Nope! They’re just examples! If you wanna edit a song of the movie or write a blog on who would be who in a crossover or anything of the sorts that’s completely fine! As long as it follows the prompt in some way!
Q. I was busy and couldn’t submit the fourth prompt by the end of the month! Can I submit it late and still be eligible to win?
A. Yes, but no later than when the next weekly prompt occurs. If you can get it in by then or even the day one you will still be eligible! After that you won’t be though.
Q. Is there a certain level of quality I have to make my prompt entry?
A. As long as we can tell it didn’t take 5 secs to make or something a panda could do, it’s fine! We encourage you to be creative, but also try your best.
Q. Can I make multiple entries for one prompt?
A. You can but only one is necessary to be eligible to win. Feel free to make as many as you want though!
Q. Is there a set of rules my post has to follow?
A. As long as it follows DRA’s and Amino’s guidelines while remaining related to the prompt it should be fine!
Q. My streak broke! Can I repair it?
A. Sadly, no. Each month needs to be met by the time of the first post of the following month for your streak to be kept intact. New prompts are posted every Tuesday, so be sure to have them submitted by then!
Q. I don’t see any suggestions for OC posts. Can I make an OC post for this prompt?
A. Yep! You can always make posts from ideas that aren’t suggested so long as they follow the theme of the prompt. Also, OC posts fall under the other types of content.

Will be prompt this week? I mean... it still wasn't posted and to 4th June are around 4 days left so people would not have that much time to finish it
I wanted to ask this as well
the new prompt has just been posted, so please read the note on it! apologies for the delay.
If I were to do this, an I haven't completed any past prompts, can I post them all in the same blog (You've probably answered this, but I'm slow)
Yep, you can post multiple prompt entries in one blog!
I've never done any of the other prompts before, but I've drawn something for this one. Can I post it as part of my contribution to the prompt or should I post it separately?
