Hi, I’m Cronssi and welcome back to Weekly Prompts! So, you probably know idols. If you’ve been in the anime community for a while, there’s no way you haven’t at least heard of one idol anime. Heck, if you like Danganronpa, you should know at least one idol character.

This week we get to play around with the concept and characters and see what fluffy and nice things we get and what surprising things could count as idols. So let’s get into it!

btw, i’ve noticed an interesting overlap with dr fans liking idol stuff and the other way around, i guess that we need something overly happy to take away all the despair

Blogging

o Did you know that Sayaka Maizono’s Japanese title is “Ultimate Idol”? It’s time for some Maizono love! Maizono analysis, theorization about the group (which we even don’t know the name of) or maybe just appreciation!

o The traditional idols aren’t the only type of them. Often people you look up to or *idol*ize are also idols - it’s just more personal! Analyse DR characters’ own idols or maybe what kind of people would look up to the characters!

o What if someone from the DR cast became an idol? What kind of style would they be going for, how would they react, would they be popular or just a small group among the many?

Fanfiction

o In idol business everything isn’t happiness and sunshine, there’s a lot of things we don’t see behind the scenes. Explore a few practice days of Maizono’s life and see how things affect her.

o Idolization is a big thing when it comes for example Toko Fukawa's character. Write a fanfic that includes idolizing - whether it's healthy or not is up to you~

o “Idols” is also a TV-show. Write a fic about character(s) ing the contest! How would they manage? What hardships would they have to face? How would things turn out?

Editing

o The first role model idol situation that comes to mind is Chihiro Fujisaki iring Mondo Oowada. Create an edit set featuring characters with people who they idolize!

o There are a ton of card extracts from idol game cards, what if you use those in your edits? You could choose pairs based on color scheme, personalities, if they have something else in common etc...

o Sayaka Maizono edit set anyone?

Art

o There are a few voice actors that share their voices with some of the idols. Draw Tenko Chabashira doing Nico-Nico-Nii or something similar!

o Costumes! Costumes are probably the most recognizable part when it comes to idols! Draw your favorite characters in frilly costumes!

o Gather up the musicians! Idol-things include a lot of music! Or maybe they’ll audition in Idols?

Cosplay

o Do you have any idol costumes? Time to put them on and finish things up with a DR wig!

o Maizono cosplay? Maizono’s costume is on the simpler side, so why not try to do a closet one?

o What would a DR chara’s idol look like? Use your imagination and give reasonings!

FAQs

Q. I haven’t finished last week’s prompt yet! Can I still do it?

A. Yep! As long as you complete it within the month you’re still eligible to win! These prompts are also just for inspiration so if you haven’t come up with anything this week, but come up with a great idea the next, feel free to post it!

Q. If I’ve won before, can I win again?

A. Of course! As long as you complete all the prompts for the month, you’re eligible to win no matter if you’ve participated in the past or not!

Q. Do I really lose my title if I don’t finish this month’s prompts too?

A. Sadly, yes. Our goal is to reward who are diligent and make a post for each prompt. We understand being busy and we’re very sorry if you can’t make it, however, there is always next month!

Q. Do I have to follow one of the prompts above?

A. Nope! They’re just examples! If you wanna edit to a song of the movie or write a blog on who would be who in a crossover or anything of the sort that’s completely fine! As long as it follows the prompt in some way!

Q. I was busy and couldn’t submit the fourth prompt by the end of the month! Can I submit it late and still be eligible to win?

A. Yes, but no later than when the next weekly prompt occurs. If you can get it in by then or even the day one you will still be eligible! After that you won’t be though.

Q. Is there a certain level of quality I have to make my prompt entry?

A. As long as we can tell it didn’t take 5 secs to make or something a panda could do, it’s fine! We encourage you to be creative, but also try your best.

Q. Can I make multiple entries for one prompt?

A. You can but only one is necessary to be eligible to win. Feel free to make as many as you want though!

Q. Is there a set of rules my post has to follow?

A. As long as it follows DRA’s and Amino’s guidelines while remaining related to the prompt it should be fine!

Q. My streak broke! Can I repair it?

A. Sadly, no. Each month needs to be met by the time of the first post of the following month for your streak to be kept intact. New prompts are posted every Friday, so be sure to have them submitted by then!

Q. Do I have to do all the prompts before this one?

Nope! You can jump in and do the prompts at anytime. You only need to complete all 4 for the month we're on for the rewards, but if you only want to do one, or want to do a past prompt, you can for fun! Keep in mind, even if you finish a month that's ed, you can't claim the rewards. All 4 must be completed by the end of the month were currently on to be eligible.

Q. I don’t see any suggestions for OC posts. Can I make an OC post for this prompt?

A. Yep! You can always make posts from ideas that aren’t suggested so long as they follow the theme of the prompt. Also, OC posts fall under the other types of content.
