SPOTLIGHT S
└──────⋆⋅🗞⋅⋆ ──────┘
First up, we have 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗶! They have been with us for a little over a year and have been continuously putting out amazing pieces for the readers of the community. Here are their answers to the interview:
Mori’s Interview
𝟷. 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚋𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚝𝚘 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚞𝚗𝚒𝚝𝚢 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚟𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚎𝚍 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚝𝚘 𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚢?
I was looking for a community to start writing in because I was interested. I was convinced to stay because everyone is really ive!
𝟸. 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚍𝚛𝚎𝚠 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚝𝚘 𝚠𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐? 𝚆𝚑𝚎𝚗 𝚍𝚒𝚍 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚛𝚝?
I started writing about a year ago. I wanted to be good at something that had to do with an art form, so I thought I’d try writing out.
𝟹. 𝙷𝚘𝚠 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚐𝚛𝚘𝚠𝚗 𝚊𝚜 𝚊 𝚠𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚎𝚛 𝚜𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚏𝚒𝚛𝚜𝚝 𝚓𝚘𝚒𝚗𝚎𝚍?
I’ve definitely grown as a writer since I ed. I have way better grammar skills, and I think I’ve gotten better at putting what I’m actually thinking into a story or poem.
𝟺. 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚖𝚊𝚒𝚗 𝚜𝚘𝚞𝚛𝚌𝚎𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝚒𝚗𝚜𝚙𝚒𝚛𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗?
My main sources of inspiration are really my own thoughts, experiences, and feelings. Not all, but a lot of the stories and poems I write are based on true experiences or my emotions.
𝟻. 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚍𝚘 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚎𝚗𝚓𝚘𝚢 𝚠𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚋𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚖𝚘𝚜𝚝? 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚍 𝚘𝚏 𝚜𝚝𝚢𝚕𝚎 𝚍𝚘 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚏𝚎𝚛 𝚠𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐?
The thing that I enjoy the most about writing is the opportunity to get my ideas and thoughts out of my own head and share them with others.
𝟼. 𝙰𝚛𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚊𝚗𝚢 𝚙𝚒𝚎𝚌𝚎𝚜 𝚘𝚏 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛𝚜 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚠𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚑𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚕𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝/𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚜𝚒𝚍𝚎𝚛 𝚊𝚜 𝚏𝚊𝚟𝚘𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚎𝚜?
Not one piece, but a series of short stories I wrote as a whole. It’s called “𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁”. I really loved writing those stories.
Read Chapter 1
of “𝗗𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁”
𝟽. 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚒𝚜 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚙𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚍𝚎𝚜𝚝 𝚠𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚌𝚑𝚒𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚝?
My proudest writing achievement is definitely just having the ability to make my stories understandable. My grammar has always been really bad and I’m very proud that it has improved to a legible point.
𝟾. 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚋𝚎𝚎𝚗 𝚜𝚘𝚖𝚎 𝚘𝚏 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚏𝚊𝚟𝚘𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚎 𝚖𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚜 𝚘𝚛 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚜 𝚒𝚗 𝙱&𝚆𝙰?
My favorite event was Inktober this year. I absolutely love being given prompts to write with, especially if I can make something unexpected out of it.
𝟿. 𝙾𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚠𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐, 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝'𝚜 𝚜𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚎𝚗𝚓𝚘𝚢 𝚍𝚘𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚒𝚗 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎?
Other than writing, I love to listen to music and play video-games. I also enjoy the occasional nap.
𝟷𝟶. 𝙰𝚗𝚢𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚎𝚕𝚜𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚊𝚍𝚍?
Nothing else! :+1:
≪━─━─━─━─◈─━─━─━─━≫
Our second spotlight is 𝗛𝗮𝗸𝘂𝗻𝗼, a newer member who made an incredible performance during Inktober 2023, but her show didn’t stop there. By continuously engaging and posting for the community, she was an easy target for being interviewed
Hakuno’s Interview
𝟷. 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚋𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚝𝚘 𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚖𝚞𝚗𝚒𝚝𝚢 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚟𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚎𝚍 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚝𝚘 𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚢?
I was looking for an active community of readers and writers and this one was one of the few at the top in the search results. I ed many others at first, but almost all were dead with little to no activity. Then I came here and it was extremely active with funny and nice people, so I just decided I'll stay here. 🫡
𝟸. 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚑𝚊𝚜 𝚋𝚎𝚎𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚖𝚘𝚜𝚝 𝚎𝚗𝚓𝚘𝚢𝚊𝚋𝚕𝚎 𝚊𝚜𝚙𝚎𝚌𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝙱&𝚆𝙰 𝚜𝚘 𝚏𝚊𝚛?
The people of course, 100%. Funny, eccentric, ionate, cheerful, friendly, suave, thoughtful.... there's so many different kinds of lovely people here and it's never a dull moment being around them here. 🤭
𝟹. 𝙵𝚘𝚛 𝚑𝚘𝚠 𝚕𝚘𝚗𝚐 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚋𝚎𝚎𝚗 𝚠𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐?
I've been writing since I was 5, small poems and whimsical stories at first, then I became more and more curious and gluttonous over time! All I wanted in the earlier days was to read, write and experiment with different styles and mediums, then gradually I grew to perfect and develop my own style and I can easily say it's been a very fulfilling and fun journey so far! 🥳
𝟺. 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚍 𝚘𝚏 𝚠𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚍𝚘 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎 𝚍𝚘𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚖𝚘𝚜𝚝? 𝚆𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚍𝚘 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚏𝚒𝚗𝚍 𝚒𝚗𝚜𝚙𝚒𝚛𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗?
It's extremely difficult to pinpoint a satisfying answer to this question, truth be told! But if I had to pick, haikus would be the most preferable option, writing one is such a thoughtful and creative exercise that it never fails to satisfy me after I finish one.
As far as inspiration goes, everything and anything is my muse! From something as mundane as a coffee mug to a more exotic theme like the cosmic beyond, it all depends largely on what creative mulling my mind fixates upon, and from there it's pretty much settled. 🤭
𝟻. 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚋𝚎𝚎𝚗 𝚜𝚘𝚖𝚎 𝚘𝚏 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚏𝚊𝚟𝚘𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚎 𝚙𝚒𝚎𝚌𝚎𝚜 𝚝𝚘 𝚠𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚎 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚙𝚘𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚍 𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎?
Another difficult question to answer but I'll say my haiku pieces have been the most fulfilling ones to write with how naturally and simplistically my mind is able to craft them now. To pick some of my most memorable pieces however is a real tricky task, but Stud Spuds would be my choices. Each of my pieces are written with a special meaning at heart, but I will always go back to these four again and again over time and spend a quiet moment to appreciate them, this I promise. 🫡
𝟼. 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚝𝚢𝚙𝚎 𝚘𝚏 𝚖𝚎𝚖𝚋𝚎𝚛𝚜, 𝚋𝚕𝚘𝚐𝚜, 𝚊𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚟𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚎𝚜, 𝚘𝚛 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚜 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚜𝚎𝚎𝚗 𝚜𝚘 𝚏𝚊𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚒𝚗𝚜𝚙𝚒𝚛𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚝𝚘 𝚋𝚎 𝚊𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚟𝚎?
Oh that's a lot of people to name in one sitting hehehe... but let me make a fair estimation. There's funny and mischievous ones like Puppet and so many more! The sheer variety of blogs also attracts my attention, there's never an idle moment to be wasted here.
𝟽. 𝙾𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚋𝚘𝚘𝚔𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚠𝚛𝚒𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐, 𝚠𝚑𝚊𝚝'𝚜 𝚜𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚎𝚗𝚓𝚘𝚢 𝚍𝚘𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚒𝚗 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚜𝚙𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎?
I like playing RPG games usually and reading webnovels, manga and manhwa strips in my spare time. I also try and train my social skills more because I find they are quite lacking due to my limited interactions so far. 🫣
𝟾. 𝙰𝚗𝚢𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚎𝚕𝚜𝚎 𝚝𝚘 𝚊𝚍𝚍?
I'm a simple person at heart, easy to get along with, and addicted to reading and writing with a certain fanaticism. People fascinate me and their stories are always music to my ears, there's so much inspiration to be found in our day to day lives which most of us disregard due to the sheer mundane aspect attached to it, but I hope to capture that and more in my writings as I learn and grow more here with my friends in this warm and homely community. 🥰
