Lost

I'm floating in a void of forgetfulness

Nothing is familiar

People say I know them

But I don't

They show me endless pictures

But they are strangers

All I know is this hospital room

I look back, hard as I can

But my life only started 6 days ago

They tell me I have a name, but I don't like it

I want a new name.

I am not who I was

She is dead and I am here now

Stop telling me what I like

Stop telling me what I dislike

I will decide for myself

Poor strangers, you look sad

But I cannot help you

The one you love is gone

And I still have my life ahead of me

This story is about a young lady who got in an accident and lost all of her memories. Her family and friends visit her and try to jog her memory, but eventually she gets tired of it all and makes a new identity for herself.
