Eternal Bond - Kiku (OC)

This piece is of my OC Avatar, Kiku, in synchronization with Raava. The pose that she is using is based on a hung gar Kung Fu stance, so it is in the style of earth bending, but it is also meant to closely mimic the natural shape of Raava.

It marks the first time that I’ve drawn Kiku in anything other than Earth Kingdom clothing. Using Water Tribe garb was a better fit for the color scheme. It also meant the challenge of deg a new outfit, which I always enjoy.

Materials used were copic sketch markers to color, illustration pen for Kiku’s line art, and thin blue sharpies for Raava’s. It took about two and a half hours to do the line art—three and a half if I include settling on the design for the clothes—and six hours to color.

This is also currently the lock screen on my phone.
