What do I see, when you look at me?

I see how little there is left of your love

The wishes you casted far and above

The guilt surrounding your very touch,

How you believe you’re not worth much.

I wandered so helplessly that night,

The moon draped my thoughts in its light.

I looked back on who they were, how it’d be.

I dreaded how all the fault was put onto me.

Razor Road

As far as I can see, there’s no cars ahead of me.

There’s no yelling, no work, no worries here,

In the razor road.

Kids sprint, waving to me, as I make my way down razor road.

They’ve seen me ride up here before, racing past with red and black emblems shining.

Cabin Fever

Papers are stacked one after another,

Even though there’s only five days to go.

Friends are losing their trust in each other.

Everyone is at a low.

Cabin fever.

A Sense

“Had you seen?”

Is all I hear.

All that’s been left of you is near.

The taste of coarse metal grinds,

With a flick of force, I’d tapped into their minds.

The room is set in molded grime.

With this, I know there won’t be much time.

Hopelessly Sick.

The desolate ringing of the night slowly faded,

Senseless light soon leaked in and invaded.

From where he’d been,

marks of black scribbled along the walls.

Although his voice is gone,

the feeling of his words still calls.

I stand, and the brisk air scrapes against my skin.

Even if today’s a new day, I know it’s the same from within.

The Boy in The End

Sometimes it’s hard to go to the park.

Especially when it’s all desolate and cast in the dark.

But that’s not what bothers me.

It’s the fact that it’s only me.

I all those times I’d take you with me there,

we did make quite the pair.

Mom and dad were always so harsh about it.

I mean, it’s not like I couldn’t take you,

you would’ve thrown a fit.

Long and narrow they are, unknowing of where they’ll lead.

Taking soft steps, she looks to the doorframe.

Above it sits a melting clock, jumbled chords grimacing in shame.

Forgotten Embrace

Cold was what touched my skin.

As I saw everyone huddled together, I felt a pang of sadness from within.

With brisk steps, I hurried across the street.

The only conversation I had was with me and my heartbeat.

The pack whispered to one another, and the wind carried away their lies.

I only watched as my friends ed by my eyes.

Motherly Love

Mother,

I when we sat so helplessly on the floor.

That rotten table decayed just as we were.

I looked up at dad just as it began to pour.

He just sat up there, smoking his cancer sticks and calling me a slur.

Why did I have to sit and watch as you two yelled?

You took all of it, protecting me.

Even then, everything you said dwelled.

I couldn’t just let that be.
