I life before,

when I was afraid to fall,

afraid to be free,

I am my own worst enemy,

I all those days

when we were laughing out loud,

staying up too late,

but it will never be enough,

I my way home,

right down these old country roads,

through memory lanes,

up to my castle on the hill,

I of legends

that turns to dust, to ashes,

or those turn to gold;

you will last for centuries,

I this old poem,

one that talks all about you

that I wrote with love,

you'll never be forgotten,

I things that I

should've said before to you,

but I was afraid

and now it's late to act brave,

I all my words,

painful truths and pretty lies

that caused joy and pain;

my broken hallelujah,

I ed each of them,

precious words and memories,

I had kept them all

under this old lock and key,

All were beautiful and great,

with wrongs and rights that shaped me,

they're my reason for

who I was, I am, I'll be…
