A Report for the Ages!! Restaurant Drama??

Hello! Reporter Icy here for the latest news among the MHA amino community!

This year, restaurants have popped up all over the amino with a large variety of all sorts of different job options and menu items.

Before anyone gets upset, my ratings are pure joking, this event was a ton of fun and all the leaders and curators were amazing. Don’t take my ratings too harshly <3

I, Reporter Icy, took the opportunity to visit each of these establishments as well as their managers to figure out just what made their restaurant more special to the average costumer over their competition.

Back on topic, aHem-

Anyways, my job was made to figure out how exactly each restaurant saw itself, and in order of the interviews, I have compiled my own thoughts on these interesting food chains, as well as how I’d rate each visit out of five stars being a costumer!

All photos used were the ones the leaders/curators used for their restaurants, and all credit goes to them.

First up, McYanold’s!

McYanold’s is a family-run restaurant, with questionable hiring status regarding their own children as employees, but fast and quick take out with only minor complaining from the cashier!

This restaurant is ran by Manager Yan.

This was one restaurant that I didn’t have an interview with sadly, as I had already ordered a quick meal before I had the chance to ask my questions. Sorry!

Btw, my order was a milkshake with extra milk, and nuggies with extra nug <3

Overall I’d give this restaurant 3/5 stars in total, having had quick service but questionable staff.

Next was Dominose!

Dominose is the first pizzaria amongst the MHA amino, thriving off of their loyalty amongst the company. The manager would be Manager Yvie, who runs the place and is charge of hiring new staff to among the ranks.

This restaurant is the other one that I hadn’t had a chance to interview with sadly, but instead I will rate off of their communication with potential staff, as I was also hired as a Dominoes worker!

There was very quick communication when applying, which by itself was a smooth process. Along with that, there was a free pizza for becoming an employee as well as a personalized ID photo!

Thank you again Yvie, I know the drawings were meant to be simple and silly, but I absolutely loved my Shoto <3

All in all, this restaurant earned 4.5/5 stars, almost completely perfect! I look forward to my first shift.

Up next was Zonic!

Zonic is a fast-food chain that strives for the satisfaction of both costumers and employees equally! Mainly employees. Ran by Manager Zag, Zonic brings in workers of all different sorts of backgrounds, totally not an underground syndicate filled with criminals, and provides them a career of insane benefit!

On top of that, all the employees get to have roller skates to travel around! Limitless benefits!

This restaurant I did manage to get a small interview with the manager relating some of the rumors spreading around from the employees, as well as any viewed competitors. Though, from the manager herself, it was simply propaganda spread by the competitors, and they do not see any of the other companies as strong competition.

Overall I view Zonic as a good 4/5 stars, absolutely love the equality amongst coworkers, and of course the skates were a beautiful touch in the uniform.

Fourth up would have to be McDonald’s!

A surprise amongst the other chain restaurants, but a classic nonetheless! A wide spread company that has hardworking staff dedicated to the service. Everything is okay as long as you add a Mc to the front of it! Ran by Manager Mon, there is absolutely no talking about McYanold’s on those premises!

I was happy to interview their manager here, seeing their thoughts on the main competitor, as well as any other potential competition. They were happy to say how they were relatively stress free when it came to competition, though definitely made their point clear of being superior over McYanolds.

Overall, a very content cult- cOUGH- family, and I’d rate them a good 3.5/5, having been a good restaurant but nothing truly sticking out as unique plainly to the costumers.

Next up was Vanizza’s Hut!

A very calm pizzeria with a high quality chef making the food, Vanizza’s Hut is certainly a place to visit if given the chance! Manager Van runs this food chain, using cheesy puns and different food jokes to lighten up the atmosphere from the surrounding areas.

My interview with Manager Van was very pleasant, and she answered everything quick, precise, and to the point! With added food puns, of course. When asked about the use of the puns, she was happy to enlighten me with how its actually how the company shows dedication to their head chef who is of course in charge of making the food. She reported that the company’s main competitor, Dominoes, does not stress them out, as they believe in their chef and the food made.

On top of being polite with the interview, she was very happy to give away samples and allow an opportunity to meet the famed chef as a taste tester, so overall a lovely 5/5 stars for my visit. Definitely on my high list to recommend to others!

My next visit was to Wendy’s!

Ahem!

Wendy’s of course is another popular burger fast food chain, striving in their odd shaped burgers and blunt honesty. Ran by Manager Rin, honesty was truly key amongst the restaurant! Anyways, everyone knows whats available at Wendy’s.

Everything except Wendy herself apparently.

When I did have the chance to talk with Manager Rin, we discussed the competitors and their day, and both were met with blunt honesty about how the other competitors have been suspected of taking their daughter. Therefore, also just a bad day.

Regardless, was still a fun visit, 4/5 stars for an interesting experience!

And a +1 star for pity points.

Next up was HEROway!

Similar to many others, this restaurant thrives in their employee’s honesty and abilities to make sandwiches. The hiring process by Manager rckl3/4ss was almost more simple than Zonic! Only requiring one step to be brought into the decently loving employment status.

When I did manage to speak with the manager of the establishment regarding the interview, I was pleasantly surprised by the politeness, as I was in fact nOt a food inspector. They were happy and open to discuss my questions with the worries of the company as well as what to recommend. I was told that they have zero worries regarding the competition, but do have eyes on a certain company I was requested to not disclose, and of course got the interesting recommendation of meatball marinara, but without the meatballs and marinara.

Definitely a fun visit, and would enjoy another visit to the establishment again following an order of food. 4/5 stars!

Wrapping up soon, my next visit was Ani’s Tacos!

Simple and pleasant, Ani’s Tacos of course is ran by Manager Ani, and is the only taco chain amongst the competitors. A rather stress-free decision, hopefully the costumers agree, but by the employment rate, it seems they do!

Along with the style of the restaurant, my interview with Manager Ani was simple and to the point, being very casual and easygoing. We discussed any potential competitors, and of course her thoughts on what would drive the costumers back to her restaurant over the others. Though, being the only taco stand, she was glad to report no worries in competitors, since everyone else served different food. That and the recommendation of the Baja Blast to come back for!

With the calamity of the place, I’d rate it 3/5 stars, not fully my taste, but still a nice restaurant regardless!

Lastly was KFC!

The first couple ran restaurant broadcasted, KFC stars their signature chicken as well as one of their employees, Billy! Obviously no connection from Billy to why they need new employees, but best be safe to maintain your distance from him. Ran by Manager Fran and Co-Manager Imani, the duo runs and maintains the restaurant with ease.

Of course with the surrounding Billy rumors, when I had the opportunity to chat with Manager Fran, I was certainly happy to hear a small bit of drama regarding him, as well as food recommendations, and recent competitors! Billy is unjustifiably attacked for just being there, and apparently the suspicious bucket of chicken is always the way to go when ordering! Sadly, I was requested to not name the competitors that they were keeping an eye on.

All in all, I loved this restaurant, resulting in a 4.5/5, only because Billy tried to snag my notebook as I was taking notes. Definitely enjoyed my time there regardless.

In conclusion, this event was a ton of fun, just being able to see the community thrive together and in on the fun of messing around. It brings humanity to the leaders to the ones who were intimidated by them, and allows these silly posts to even exist.

A huge thank you to the leaders and curators who make this day happen every year on April Fools Day, and I can’t wait to see how next year’s April 1st will go. And of course, another thank you to the community who helped keep this silly thing continue all day, between ordering and applying, to spying on other restaurants.

While this has plenty of words on it, it didn’t take me too long to write.
