One day I ran,

Away from the four walls

I have always known

To the forest

They told me never to go

Stars lit up the sky

Fireflies lighting the ground below

Giving the forest a mystic aura

Animals played

How could something so beautiful

Be so dangerous?

Until it came

The darkest night

It came creeping

The most beautiful creature

I’ve ever seen

Fur glittered like stars

Ruby eyes glowed

Voice was the sweetest song

Follow me

I’ll give you everything

Dreams will come true

You’ll be a legend

It told me

I followed it

Up the highest mountains

Down deepest rivers

When I got tired

It drug me down the mountains

When I was sad

You threw me down

Watching me bleed out

Face twisted into a smile

My beautiful creature

What have you done?

Starry fur now dull

Claws covered in blood

Teeth protruding from lips

Hungry red eyes

I ran yelling for help

But no one answered

My desperate plea

Until I finally heard

Follow me

I’ll give you everything

You’ve ever wanted

Dreams will come true

It told me
