I’m in need of some heartbreaking advice

Plants completed!
My other 6 assorted plants came and came wonderful! Great color adds a pretty pop! I also gave some of them to Doitsus tank as it was hard to get it all in one tank. Happy boys!

Heater issue?
Is it normal for heaters to put off a almost heat wave? It’s like a clear film looking thing. From videos and photos it looks like heat waves and I’ve read it’s normal

Help!
My heater was making loud noises and I looked at it and saw something leaking out of it? Almost like a thin film. There were small bubbles on the top of the tank water too. I turned it off and took it out. Will my betta be okay?! I will be returning the heat and replacing it
