Glassy stare at waves

Counting to ten slowly

A deep shaky breath in

Stepping off the edge

A heart beating loudly

Gazing at fading light

Icy water starts to burn

A breath held, waiting

Slowly sinking below

A final decision made

Air bubbling to surface

Trailing in the waves

A breath in, a final exit

Darkness taking hold

A cold embrace of ice

Thoughts leaving mind

Body going limp, numb

A slight struggle for air

Lungs filled with water

A sudden awakening

Struggling for air

Conciousness dawns

A switch flicked now

Alive, still alive, why?

A muffled voice near

Coughing up water

Choking on the ocean

A painful breath in

Just breathe, okay?
