Hushed and whispered

Ear to ear they heard them

It continued and they grew

They spread them quickly

God words can do damage

How can people be this way

Take the kindness, spread hate

Deceit, betrayal, fake friendship

I'd had enough, been there before

Fleeting niceties, fake kindness

Let it slowly drift away, ending

They hurt you, don't hurt them

It's not worth it to return hatred

They aren't worth your time now

Only have themselves to blame

They're the ones in the wrong

You know hate is useless here

Finally the murmur will cease

There will be a hurried finalé
